When Scotland Rugby is strong, World Rugby is strong.
Love the blind faith in hypotheticals!
If I were you I wouldn’t take anything I post on here too seriously.
This is even more apt when I’m discussing Scottish Rugby.

@Machpants I'm not sure that being a Gatland pick would be a great commendation this year..

This Welsh team is rubbish. Their forwards are slow and clumsy, their backs pedestrian and have no organization whatsoever in defence.
After a slow start, the French attack and work at the breakdown were impressive. Big game from Baille, Dupont, N'tamack and Vakatawa. Did you know that the latter was NZ born ? -

Even money bet these days.
Just watching the replay of this fixture and economics must be bad in the NH. Wales wearing Liverpool's new shirts.

Exeter don't get much representation despite being the best team in England and Europe.
Probably why they do so well, depth is not tested by players leaving for England. So you can do it the Exeter way (really good squad, not too many superstars) or the Saracens way (buy so many players that missing internationals don't hurt). Only one way is legal

Vakatawa. Did you know that the latter was NZ born ?
I recall reading an article about Vakatava being born in NZ but moving back to Fiji as a very young child. In my memory his mother got unsettled after 9/11 - and wanted to move back home.
But that would make him about 9 years old. I thought I read he was a baby when he moved back.
Just done a google search, but found nothing. I wonder if my memory is playing tricks on me.

Wait. No.
I think that was Uini Atonio.Yes. "We all left for Samoa because of the Y2K at the end of 1999,"
Y2K, not 9/11.

Wili Heinz out of the England squad with a leg injury. Northampton's Alex Mitchell (uncapped) replaces him a Halfback options alongside Ben Youngs and Dan Robson
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/54719707
"Heinz joins a growing list of unavailable players, with Exeter hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie, club-mate Jack Nowell, Saracens' Elliot Daly, Leicester fly-half George Ford and Harlequins prop Joe Marler also out of the game in Rome. Northampton lock Courtney Lawes and Sale centre Manu Tuilagi are long-term absentees."

Your inference being Watson > Tipuric? Good as he is, not sure I buy that one.
