@Snowy I think there would be a majority of NZ fans that feel the same as you do mate. But there are more and more of us that are over TRC.
So tours then? Like most of us have wanted for a long time. Mid week games, etc? A 3 test series against the Boks every 2 years with mid week against Bulls, Stormers, et al?
What are the other options? Just shut down the ABs? We've got to be in some matches somewhere.

Even thought the on-field product doesn't always deliver, i envy the 6N
Yeah. It is a great competition. Maybe that is where TRC should go. One match against each country, alternating years home and away, if fans really are jaded by it.

Yeah in an ideal world where money was not the driving force. I really don't know what the options are either. I just know how I feel about a Boks vs Abs test. Or vs Australia. The Lustre is less. Not gone, just less.

As I said - we gotta play somebody. Will that become boring too? There really are only eight good teams in rugby at any one time, sometimes fewer.
-
As I said, I don't know what the options are. I'm just being honest that the regularity at which we play the Bok & Wallabies, added to (usually in any normal year) seeing these players over and over in Super Rugby has made it less of an event for me. I will always enjoy AB's rugby, so long as I'm lucky enough to see it. But I miss unfamiliarity, I guess. The unknown quantity that only NH powerhouses can now offer.

@sparky I think youβll find their fan base is pretty sick of the site of us and IMO many NZ fans are bored as shit with the Springboks. I am one of them.
The RC has become stagnant. Adding the Argies was good but itβs not the spectacle it once was.
You mean you're not interested in seeing the ABs play the current world champs?
-
@raznomore said in NH International Rugby:
@junior no. I am bored with the regularity at which we play them.
Fair enough.
How much of that has been driven by the fairly regular towellings we've given them in NZ over the last, say, 10 years?
Have you got more satisfaction from the times we've played them in RSA (because I have)?

All trials in the UK involving spectators returning to stadiums are now suspended. The reminder of the 6 Nations and the 8 Nations tournament to happen behind closed doors.
Ouch. See, Martin Johnson, fuck off with your NH tour idiocy.
I can't see us getting SA or even Arg successfully too Oz. SA won't come and Arg will test positive somewhere. But at least we'll get the 4 Bleds in with crowds

For anyone who would like to read more than just this one sentence, this is one article about it (no doubt there are more):

Wouldn't it save print space if they just reported when he was fit?
