Antoine Dupont was the best halfback of the day and Gregory Alldritt was immense.
Fagerson was better than Furlong IMO, putting a lot of pressure on the Irish scrum and being a nuisance in the rucks. Sutherland better than Marler, too.Agree on first two points. Alldritt probably my player of the round. Marler was excellent in scrum, but not a lot more. Poirot was a complete nuisance at ruck time when he came on.

@Bones yeah I saw that earlier, the more I read about that fella, seems a right GC
-
@taniwharugby worth seeing the slightly Irish horse again.
-
Anyone from Wellington who is today at Murrayfield for the England-Scotland game is going to be reminded a wee bit of home:
-
Ignore the title. Reading the article, there is no spat between WR and JRFU.
The JRFU just seems to have no clue about what they're doing with their domestic competition. Apart from the fact that they seem to be changing the competition every other year, they're also planning it wrong (scheduling it for the wrong months: August/September to January), much to the frustration of Jamie Joseph.
-
The Japanese seasons make no sense, they'll be like the Ozzie's and puts away the good will of a successful RWC
-
So this interview was shit. This is the same idiot that thought DC should be basically thrown in jail for a high tackle isn't it? Methinks her aggression is an attempt to hide a severe lack of knowledge and understanding.

I was waiting for her to say "so what you're saying is..." , there was a lot of cringe there.
-
For some reason Sonja is being absolutely lauded for that interview.
Further proof to me of just how much Eddie Jones is hated by the media in general who he flatly refuses to suck up to.
His next mauling will come shortly too as he's been asked of the view of SA joining the 6N nad it wasn't very positive.

@Bones Matt Williams. Dreadful coach showing his uselessness in his analysis as a pundit.

Would like to like that twice. He does have a touch of the Gladstone Small about him.

Indeed. And he went to school in England and played for England U16 and U19.
But still mildly amusing in the light of 2005.....
I think I may have been whooshed!

15 years on from Lord Bald and The Evil spindoctor trying to make Tana UK public enemy number 1 (for doing his job), the Twickenham faithful might be cheering for his nephew.......
They will be poaching from Tokoroa next.

@sparky Hmm, not sure what relevance Woodward and Cambell have to the rest of England.

For fucks sake, if you are going to post a photo of two giant cocks at least mark it NSFW

@sparky Even Lennon looked a twat in those glasses.

Tho, tbh, that looks like really badly made 2 mins noodles. What the fuck is the humongous ladle on his plate for?
-
Haaaa apparently Bono visited them to perform a "pep-talk".
Bet that would gee ya up eh.
-
Bit confused still about why David Pocock is hanging out with the Irish squad.

"Every time ya knock the ball on, a little child in Africa dies."
At least, for their sake, Bono didn't sing....

I just assumed that it was potato in some form or other (it really doesn't look good).
-
Apparently bono was their to talk on what it means to be Irish. Which is reasonable cos there are a few guys on the team who don't really have a clue about that.... 😜

That's odd given Paul Hewson moved to the Netherlands for tax purposes...

This is a big story this morning in the UK. Have I missed something?
A reporter got their facts wrong. Eddie made a (quite funny) joke about it. The reporter didn't see the funny side of it. Challenged Eddie afterwards. Eddie apologised if any offensive was taken and shook the reporter's hand.
Storm in a tea cup IMHO.
-
Looks like Jones got it wrong, not the journo.
Jones couldn't differentiate between meditation and mindfulness and then call the journo out for implied racism.
-
@MiketheSnow he made a joke.

A racist joke...
.... But against his own racial make up...
... So outrage or not? I dunno, modern day is confusing
