Wallabies v Ireland #1 - Brisvegas
-
MCGrath, Herring and Ryan doing better up front than I expected.
-
Beale looking for Folau with the cross field kicks but needs to put way more height on them.
-
Very well worked try. Great hands from Foley then finishes the job.
-
Nice try. Ireland a bit ropey out wide.
-
Genia pass slightly forward there
-
Get off the field tool. Surely reserves aren't allowed in the ingoal area.
-
Damn that was a particularly shit kick Genia.
-
Kearney!! What a fucking drop ball
-
Terrible call. The pass is allowed to bounce forwards FFS.

So for the fourth time Ireland 13 rushes out of line and misses Beale. This time oz are moderately competent enough to score off it.
Did it again now. He's a liability.
-
@machpants snap
-
I think Ireland are really well drilled in playing to their system , but collectively aren’t overly skilled ,
There has to be a way of taking them out of their comfort zone
-
Henshaw is better at 12. Ringrose the better defensive reader at 13.
-
8-6. That’ll do for a HT scoreline in Oz.
-
Ireland hanging on a bit at the end of that half, Wallabies finishing strong only to be undone by incompetent reffereing.
Sets up a very interesting 2nd half. Irelands bench could end up deciding the match though.

Yep. Backline are disconnected. Carbery not authoritative enough.
-
Lynagh says in halftime remarks that a hint of a forward pass by Genia for the try.
But Australia deserve their HT lead.

Gee these ads are terrible. The Wallabies used to have some cool ads back in the day. That Land Rover one had a young Michael Hooper strapping on tape in what looked like Fritzel's dungeon.
