@mn5 Um Ihaia West was FAAAR worse.
And while you mention it Ralph's 76th minute try after 3 over the line had been denied by the ref put us back in it, but hometown refereeing etc...
Checkout Hammett's 2 tries in the first half.
Geez @Bones and you think I live in the past....

@pukunui Shirley it's not just those two. Jordie over George, Skudder over Havili, TJ over Hall, Laumape over Bateman, Fiftia over Samu. It's bullshit. When will the All Black coaches wake up and pick an all Crusaders team again. I guess the real slap in the face was picking JTA over that reserve prop from Sydneyham.
Exactly. Couldnβt have said it better myself toddy
- Moody
- Taylor
- Franks
- Barrett
- Whitelock
- Taufua
- Todd
- Read.....

Seems one wet weather master class vs an inept canes team has made all the scribes give the Saders the title already. Memories of goldfish those lot. I'm not saying Saders aren't looking good but the Shit NZ Rugby Scribes poll is there for a reason
They're in general consensus. And they're all wrong?

Talked to Jason Ryan at the Sydenham game today. He said the forwards were really fired up to go and prove a point especially over Shields and Savea. And that Quentin Strange was going to be a future star.
Shields and Savea? What is the story there?
I'm guessing:
- Shields has been getting publicity. In Cantab land that makes him a show pony. Especially if they don't rate him.italicised text
- Savea because Matt Todd.
Or maybe they wanted to make a point given he's about to make his international debut, as I'm sure any NZ loosie(s) would want to vs any international loose forwards they came up against.

@act-crusader Should we allow the prodigal son Brodie to be on the bench - or stick with Luke Romano?
We're getting closer to your dream. Drums need to beat more loudly for Bryn Hall!

I fuckin love Bryn Hall
Word on the street is that Drummond feels a bit miffed by his lack of starts.
Needs to play better when he's got the reins.
Also should have stayed at Ta$man....!!!

It must be hard to stomach being behind Bryn Hall in the rankings.
@Chris-B Leave Retallick in the not selected rather than sullying his reputation in the ACT's Canta-blacks ... he's not a prodigal son, he didn't waste his abilities when he went away, quite the opposite, the Mighty Magpies helped build them and now he's the unstoppable force we all love .

Heβs hardly taken his opportunities when given a start.

@Nepia A bit strangely, Mitch's father has been a big wheel in the Ta$man rugby union and is also a part-owner of the Highlanders - but, Mitch ran straight to Canterbury and the Crusaders when he left Nelson College. Maybe he didn't want to be perceived as Dad getting him a job or maybe he just had his eye on the main chance.
But, the real reason I've posted that article is so you can read again about the Thieving Magpies and the Mighty Kahn!
It's so well known that Rossini wrote an opera about it!
La Gazza Ladra (The Thieving Magpie).

@nepia If there's one good thing about the demise of Nelson Bays rugby, it's the demise of "The Anthem".
They used to play it in the early 2000s to much mockery (by us). Similar vintage to your one, but much worse!
I like it how you two can even fight about whose team song is worse.

Drummondβs form has taken a huge step back this season. Lucky to be a bench option IMO

@act-crusader I would agree with the guts of the team being the Crusader pack but not o the whole lot. I have always acknowledged that the Cantabs know how to form an effective forward pack. I see the weak areas in that pack that could be supplemented are obviously Retallick for Barret (Sorry the boy is just not big enough to be a lock at international level), anyone for Taufua at six, and Cane for Todd. If you have the basic guts of the cantab pack with a sprinkling illiterates from the north now you are talking. Next thing you Cantabs will be asking for the return of Toddy the plodder.
