someone was saying on the radio Jones never played 7 for the Blues...so need to choose, Kaino or Jones at 6...
would that mean Mark Carter or Daniel Braid take 7
your thoughts @Nepia

Rieko isn't the best 11 the Blues have had, but would people really have Roks over him in the pecking order for 11s for the Blues?
Despite the short career, I think Rieko has already had more dominate games for the Blues than Roks has had. Rieko is also already close to passing Roks for tries for the Blues and he's played about half the games.
I love the Rocketman, but he really saved his best stuff for the black jersey. It kind of correlates with his youtube highlights, which have a lot of AB stuff, but not much Blues stuff.

Also does Jonah walk into the team on the back of just the one ( admittedly amazing ) season bearing in mind he was out for the count in 97 then moved to the Chiefs.

Jonah played more than one season for the Blues - he also played for the Blues in 98 when they made the Final. He didn't play for the Chiefs until 99.

Ah yep that's right, Didn't play the final though if I remember rightly when the mighty James Kerr scored what is still talked about as a greatest try ever witnessed by mortal man.

I was in Canterbury, and absolutely stoked with the win back in 98. However, in hindsight, the Auckland scrum got a bit robbed by the ref ... my Auckland mates are still a bit dirty about it to be fair.
Love NZ; still feeling aggrieved about provincial competition refereeing 20+ years later. Just ask any Otago-ite about Paul Honiss, and watch the blood pressure soar
