Ooh yeah they've been showing the ANZ over here.

Fucken eh Pulse! Ekenasio is on another planet eh, I think I'm in love.

Poi (sp?) from the tactix is bloody handy for a midget, reminds me of that other short centre we had about a decade ago who was a bit of a hottie.

She was pretty much the same height as Aaron Smith. 🙂

@Bovidae Haha a bit of a kick in the guts for Bird, Nweke and Dunn when Mes gets picked after missing the whole season along with Sokolich-Beatson. Fakahokotau also a bit unlucky to miss out on the top squad.

I will admit being on Aus I don't see any local NZ netball, but when I see Mes play for the Ferns I wonder what she is doing there. Might be an 'athlete' yet she isn't much of a shooter. Doesn't seem to be able to hold the goal keep like a traditional shooter and is not reliable on the shot. Maybe her not being traditional is her appeal. I would hate to be feeding the circle with her there.

@African-Monkey They have definitely been loyal to those that played in 2019. I would have chosen Fakahokotau over Sokolich-Beatson too.

Falkner has been out injured all season as well.

The squad of 16 will become 12 I would assume.

@Bovidae Yeah I'm usually a big Sokolich-Beatson fan, but she is lucky to be there. Being a genuine WD seems to have helped her. It's funny how 2 of the 3 Mystics players that got picked didn't play a game between them all season.

@Crazy-Horse Yeah, she got forced out of GS from the Mystics and put into GA last season with the rise of Nweke and with her shooting so poorly at GS. To be fair to her she went better there last season but still think she was lucky to get picked for this season.

    If you're a Kiwi 🙂

I know that's what you meant but I just wanted to reinforce it. Netball, T20, WTC ....

Resurrecting this thread, quad series going on over here at the mo. SA got smoked by England yesterday, then we got smoked by Aus.

SA only trailing Aus by a couple of goals at halftime, not looking good for the match after this...

What the fuck do I know. Outstanding first quarter from NZ, working the circle brilliantly.

    Good girls in front, 16-10

Thaaaaat's more like it. Defence shits it's pants and England draw level by halftime.

    25-25.

Defence make the occasional big play but far too many basic errors.

This tour is about seeing what many of the next tier of players can do (or can't). Crampton is the only player from the starting team who won the WC in 2019 that is left.

I see that the coach is joining the Jamaican squad to make up the numbers.

Imagine if the All Blacks went somewhere and the local kiwis and and the coaches had to sit on the bench.

It might distract us from the Beauden/Richie debate.
