Tevaga and lino are state level players at best
-
Warriors hanging on at best.
Checcin is a cheat

@mariner4life it’s the script Mate, Mannerings 300th, the Warriors have to win.
-
That’s an awful try to concede.
Two chances to kill the movement, RTS, first then Kata fumbles a pretty easy take.
The only pass Kata will make all year!
The Warriors did that tough and needed the bunker to save them twice - who would have thought.
A win but not a great game to watch.
-
At least we hung in there for the win instead of folding. Messy but always good to get the W.

Nice way to cap off a successful regular season by pissing Ricky Stuart off once more. Onto the playoffs.
Full house: Usually I can get into Mt Smart in 5-10 minutes before kick off but tonight was different. I turned up about 45 mins before kick off yet only managed to make it into the stadium just as Mannering was running out. The ticket scheme the Warriors ran for Mannering's 300th meant a lot of families went to the game which was awesome to see.
The real MVP: You have to say Simon Mannering even if he came off the field early in the second half with an injury. The whole night was about him and that probably helped the Warriors win a number of 50/50 calls. He got a bit emotional after the game during his ceremony but who didn't when Michael Luck made a special appearance to present Mannering with the game ball. Also impressive was Fusitua and Maumalo carrying Mannering off the field. Those are two strong fellas.
What about the other guys?: I'm as one-eyed as they come but even I admit, the Raiders should have probably won that game. They threw everything they had right up to the final seconds and were ultimately undone by 50/50 errors. That's pretty much been their season in a nutshell. Blake Austin is an average playmaker too.
Most hated man in league: BlowJob Leilua is a grub who had to come off for a concussion which was a surprise to everyone at Mt Smart as he doesn't have a brain to begin with. Lino getting back up after taking a cheap hit from Leilua sent a message to the Raiders that they couldn't bully the Warriors like the Roosters and Bunnies did earlier in the season.
Playoffs!?!: Warriors are off to the playoffs for the first time in a long time. But first they need to make sure that Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, Simon Mannering and Blake Green are all fit and healthy for their trip to Sydney against whoever.
Best playoff team is probably:
1.Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 2. David Fusitua 3. Peta Hiku 4. Gerard Beale (can't trust Kata) 5. Ken Maumalo 6. Blake Green 7. Shaun Johnson 8. James Gavet 9. Isaac Luke 10. Agnatius Paasi 11. Adam Blair 12. Tohu Harris 13. Simon Mannering
Bench: 14. Jazz Tevaga 15. Leivaha Pulu 16. Bunty Afoa 17. Isaiah Papalii -
@sneakdefreak Kata is the first name on Kearneys team sheet, so there is no way he’ll be dropped!
-
Fucken Storm.

Kata is a problem. I only seem to come on here to complain about him these days but can he just fuck off already. He's made for the Super League. The place where hungus, glory boy antics are rewarded with cult status.
Last night his try would have been Maumalo's had Beale or Hiku received that last pass and that's the type of shit we are going to lose games on in the playoffs. Having a player in your team that does not care about being safe or making sure is what costs you in the big moments.
Im not talking about the big moments like Benji's "that pass" in the 2005 grand final. I understand the difference between the greats and the averages is chancing your arm when no one else would. But when you have an unmarked winger and the game is on the line you do not take on 2-3 defenders 20m out!

Kata to score the winning try in our first playoff game. You heard here it first.

That's probably reasonable ...
After letting in one try for poor reads on D and bombing two tries in attack because of hungus-ness.
