@Catogrande Very few aussie reds I've drunk taste old world in nature. I've had cab sav from McLaren Vale which was more restrained, I believe the climate is cooler there. But still not bordeaux style
Barrecas Wines near Donnybrook in WA. Traditional Italian red wines to die for.

Seriously. I think the French are missing a trick not selling this stuff off to certain visitors their country will have over the next month or so.
Saw that and thought exactly the same thing
Or gift it at the airport
When my missus and I went skiing to Georgia we were presented with a bottle of Georgian wine each at immigration and wished a great holiday
We drank Georgian wine all trip
Mike - this probably needs its own thread. I need to know more about skiing in Georgia. Like a segment from a George Miller film.
It’s fantastic
Great snow, big mountains, excellent value for money, great food & drink, super people

Yeah. watching all three and it's "this is where I end up on my arse" each time. I've seen the Midnight Train one on your you tube thingy. I'd like to see it at real speed.

@MiketheSnow Good New Order song too.. that album has aged well

That was going to be my comment - you should be able to buy some by the bottle at that price point (at least, I can here in Japan).

I have a connect to a new ski field in Hokkaido - beam me when you are planning your next trip.

Anyone tried English sparkling wine?
This channel mostly does really good pub tours in London.
It’s overpriced for what it is IMHO

Some good stuff coming out and with the changing weather, it will only get better.
As Mike says, the pricing is currently an issue.
Here in Japan, we can get a bit of it but it's not cheap enough to be volume (much of the Prosecco market) and is in the mid-premium price range with a huge range of fantastic substitutes (not just champagne and cheap Franciacorta, we also get some very nice Cremants and the better Proseccos).
