@majorrage twats! It's like pillocks who buy next to a golf course, then shout at you when you pop over the boundary markers (no fence) to grab your errant tee shot that is sitting on thier patio (that they could have given back as they were standing 10ft away out of sight clearly waiting for me to retrieve my ball)
FFS just take an iron off the tee
Pussy!
it's not for me you know. Just you blokes that can't control the big dog.

That Ryder Cup match play is great to watch on the Tele of an evening. Moves along at a great pace with all the gimmies.
Didn't realise how vocal and nutty the crowds were! Do they drink?, nah, just excitable.
Most pertinent observation said that the Europeans knew the course better, and it probably played out that way.

I was there for the Friday (a GREAT afternoon) but sadly had to leave Saturday morning. The atmosphere on the Friday with an estimated 40K people was incredible, what it was like for the Saturday (est 50K) and an expected 70K on Sunday I can well imagine. The fans were in the main really good value, loads of dopey costumes, a lot of banter and some reasonably inventive songs. There were a few knob heads and no, not all from the US, a fair few English guys were being twats and I saw some odious Italians too.
The queuing to get in and out was awful, so many elected to stay a bit later and consume even more beer. A good few had been on the piss all day, the only thing saving them from oblivion was the long wait to get the next pint - oh and the cost 9-10 Euros for a pint of cold fizz. Add to that 13 Euros for a small portion of chips and an oversized greasy burger. Cheap it was not.
But still an awesome experience.

@majorrage I saw that headline and wondered how long it would take!

they should stop people watching golf in person, in fact, probably need to stop people playing golf, the amount of times I have been on a golf course and almost died when a ball went flying past or a out of control golf cart almost ran me over...

Long time ago: Old couple ahead of us kept waving us on to which we'd politely decline. After a few holes they became increasingly insistent to which a mate tee'd up. One bounce and it fair clocked the old duck. She was still on the ground by the time we'd made our way down the fairway.

So many people who stand on beck edge of green calling people up and then losing the ball in the air and nearly getting clocked!

@hooroo happened to us on Friday.
We had 2 carts, playing in a 5, and we called the group behind through.
4 of us were standing to the side, safely away, other mate was kind of obscured behind one of the carts on his phone (his house sale was supposed to be going unconditional)
They were up on an elevated tee, guy topped it, landed right by the 1st cart, jagged to the left slightly, bounced up past his face, into the roof of the other cart, into the front window of the cart and bounced back to sit in the cover of one of the golf bags.

@taniwharugby How much did your golf bag cost, because I'm playing that where it lies!
