@no-quarter I'm with you bro. I can't find a semblance, a smidgen of "sounds reasonable" for that decision.
Don't know but I'd bet the house that Kane would prefer playing
He's quoted as saying he won't know what to do with himself, and it will be hard watching from the sidelines. Hesson saying they're trying to ensure the top players don't get burnt out or something. Bowlers... yeah that might make sense. Batsmen just want to bat all day though.

Far fewer excuses for their T20 squad. But they've been weak sauce yet again. Go Phillips!! Great effort that man.
-
All over rover.
Great debut for Phillips, against a poor opposition but that'll do his confidence some good.
WI outclassed again.
-
@no-quarter jesus wept
If batting for 3 hours, 3 times a week in a month burns him out, well then it's his job to get burnt out!
I actually feel for wee kane willyballs here

God what a summer. Just as the poms wake up it rains. Without them we're hoping this shower of shit finds some backbone.
Yay a bunch of dudes i have never heard of beat some other dudes from another nation. Wiipee

Point of order - not Phillips' debut - but, you'd be forgiven for forgetting his previous efforts.

Yeah, depends on whether the ball does a bit due to the overhead conditions. Could be a bit of a leveller.

Munro is an awesome pinch hitter. I've been a fan of the pinch hitter since the days of Kaluwitharana and Jayasuriya, so I'm pretty happy with the way they're using him in T20s and ODIs.
-
@no-quarter Yeah - he's looking much better suited to this top order role than batting at 5 or 6.
Pinch hitter in T20 makes complete sense. I'm not averse to it in ODIs either - as long as there's sufficient batting lower down to cover the inevitable failures.

Not to be a wowser - but, this Tui one-handed catch promotion will end in tears.
Kid in Nelson got hit in the head by a deflection.
For $50K someone's going to launch themselves somewhere they shouldn't.
In the age we live in I am truly astonished that no one from Stuff.co.nz has come to interview him about his pain and suffering.

That was a brutal innings, well played Mr Munro.
