Ireland v Springboks

Looking forward to seeing Bundee Aki smash Coenie Oosthuizen in the 2nd minute... get me a replay!!

Not a game for the neutrals. 17-3 on 69 minutes but you sense this game is not put to bed despite Ireland controlling a lot of the game.

Disagree, the game was put to bed when Boks opted for their opening points (a 3 pointer) in the second half, while 14 points behind. That is how impotent their attack is, afraid of another 0 for the season.
With the chaos SARU find themselves in, they absolutely do not deserve a world cup.

That’s better. Brilliant break by Stockdale and pass to Conway. Ruddock powers it over after the tackle. Sexton converts. 24-3. 7 minutes to go. New winning margin for Ireland if it stays like this.
Young NZ ref Ben O’Keeffe penalizing SA heavily at the breakdown.
-
Boks mullered in a scrum on their 22. Penalty.
-
Lineout and the Irish maul powers over. Herring dots down. Carbery lines up the conversion and it sails through.
31-3. 3 minutes to go.
-
The Springboks are officially complete and utter shite. Hopeless and predictable and spanked by Ireland.
-
Ireland were much better in second half. Very pleased for Conway and Stockdale to get on the scoreboard.
New winning record 38-3 on full time.
-
Boks don’t travel well. Lots of errors and lacked the intensity in defence.
Their 10-12-13 is lacking any sort of creativity.
Excellent win Ireland.
-
Boks never in that. Destroyed at the breakdown. Ireland very accurate at just about everything.
-
Just checked score. My God.

Not quite as bad as the score suggests. South Africa lacked cohesion in attack and Ireland punished them late.

It's every bit as bad as the scoreline suggests.
The SA backs were 100% pure atrocious. Kolisi, who is usually quite good, had a mare in the forwards.
Ireland looked like they have a coach. SA looked like a rabble.
-
South Africa were poor overall. They did get a second wind in the second half and only sterling defence from Ireland prevented the scoreboard leveling up a bit more - 14-3 at that point would have been 14-10 and the Boks getting a leg up. The Irish backline took time to get used to each other and occasional use of Stockdale in midfield where he sometimes plays for Ulster was pretty crafty - a latter day Tommy Bowe but who I think will be better. Stocks are building nicely and no doubt the next two tests will see some other fresh faces coming through. Hopefully, Adam Byrne and Stockdale are tried next week on the wings, with Conway taking the 15 shirt. James Ryan and Kieran Treadwell in the locking department and Marmion/McGrath and Keatley/Carbery in the halfbacks.

Shouldn't you still be at an aftermatch function somewhere?
Err cup of tea in the flat.
-
@pot-hale That's not the Irish way!

I think the party preparations were subdued once someone pointed out they'd beaten up a team that lost to Japan...
