2018 New Zealand U20s

Fiji clearly better than Tonga and with 14 hard to compare games. Flanders, Jackson, Asi, Florence good in forwards when on. Backs Roe, Plummer, Spowat good. Players who struggled. Thomas, Kapa, Sotutu, puinavai (maybe being harsh). For me Roe was better than price and with Plummer option as 9-10

@98blueandgold Wouldn't surprise me.
Young star keen play and management keen to play him...

@family-man Australia beat Tonga 91-7 .

Who is the referee Damon Murphy. Fcuk me. How do you get a red card for a guy jumping for a pass and landing on you. Wasn't there some directive last year to root out this jumping for passes to get penaltiesLaughable decision indeed. Highlights (including the RC)

haha, what have they done to our wonderful game ...what a joke, that is even worse than the penalty that idiot prop Sinckler won for jumping for a pass and getting tackled 'in the air'
-
Holy shit. What about that try in the right hand corner post at the five minute mark!
We've seen some amazing corner flag tries the last few years but I think that is the most 'holy fuck' one I have ever seen.
Also, Big ups to the touch judge for that one, great decision.

So was it a lifting tackle or a high tackle? Fuck that. I feel sorry for Billy Proctor.
New Zealand centre Billy Proctor will miss the deciding Oceania U20s clash with Australia, suspended for a high tackle. Proctor was sent off in New Zealand's 55-15 win over Fiji in just the 18th minute, for a lifting tackle on an opponent. The midfielder pleaded guilty to the charge and was suspended for two weeks over the incident. Proctor will miss the Kiwis' final Oceania match, that will decide the title winner, and a club match a week later, as part of his suspension.
I hope it's indeed two weeks and not two games, which would mean he'd miss the first game of the JWC (if selected).
Edited to add that I didn't read the last bit properly. The 2nd game he'll miss will be a club game.

Getting RC'd because the ref sucks is one thing, but people sitting in front of a recording, judging that to be banworthy is just bad. It was clearly the Fijian player who endangered himself in that situation.

That's a joke. I can handle referees making mistakes, that's rugby. Accept it and move on, sort of ..... also complain about the silly application of law directives.
But the judiciary here? Referees covering each other's mistakes at the expense of a 20 year old kid in his biggest career opportunity so far.
Dishonest. It's ok to admit a mistake, there was no TMO and the ref made a judgement. What's the point of a judiciciary if it's not looking to apply an honest judgement.
