That was a hard watch all round. Blyde did not seem to touch the ball. Hotham was very good.
Some of the newer players for men went OK. Vai Carter and Solo all impressed me. But the other newer players seemed ill at ease in the conditions. Big work on tomorrow is more urgency in defence. However Blyde was amazing in defence for the women. -

the Black Ferns 7s were so close to winning (leading 10 - 0 at HT) and still losing 10 - 12. I thought they played well, all circumstances taken into account.
The conditions this weekend (muddy, soft, wet field in the pouring rain) have been terrible for all players and they all must be so tired. I got tired just watching that.

AB7s also lose their 2nd game against Fiji Barbarians (10 - 17). It looks like they had the same ref that officiated the BF7s in their 2nd game. He again made weird decisions, and then sent a NZ player to the bin because he disagreed haha.

The 2022 Oceania Rugby Super Sevens will be held on 24-26 June 2022 at at Navigation Homes Stadium, Pukekohe.
Six men’s and 6 women’s teams will participate in the Oceania Rugby Super Sevens, with Australia, Fiji, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Tonga to be joined by an invitational Oceania side.
The event is designed to provide a boost to team preparations ahead RWC Sevens 2022 and 2022 Commonwealth Games.
