Oh and what an athlete Michael Blyde is!
Her ability to stop on a dime and accelerate again is amazing. Throw in those steps and swerves she showed in the final, good luck tackling her.

That third try was superb.

I think men are lacking in outside backs except for Ware. Molia has lost confidence on attack and defence. Clarke is taking time to get instinctive sevens anticipation. Might have to try Knewstubb or Baker outside MGB and Webber or Rokolisoa. Our forward quartet is fine with Curry back to join Collier NG Shiu and Tim. Warbrick may come through I guess.

Damon Murphy, Jordan Way and Amy Perrett were all officiating in Townsville and are meant to be the ref and ARs for the AB test against Tonga this Sat. With current Covid restrictions none of them can leave Qld unless the travel pause is lifted tomorrow night.

That's a good thing because the first two are fucking useless.

@bovidae Cody Vai is the brother of Melani Nanai. Looked dangerous for the Samoa Barbarians U18s team on the weekend. Although he's a centre, he plays so much like Melani.
I'm pretty sure Xavier Tito-Harris and Francis Manuleleua are both signed by the Warriors. Manuleleua has been training with the Warriors during pre-season.

I know Covid has interfered but this 'World Schools Sevens' tournament is nothing of the sort and from what I can tell never has been.
It is a bunch of invitational teams with invites and team construction coming from coaches. The only team of 'merit selection' seems to be the Condor one which I assume is a best of from that tournament?
Anyway, one the women's side at least it is one of the few chances players have to get games and experience given that there are very few schools that can put together a complete side that doesn't have filler and rely on one or two players.
In other words don't read anything into selections or who is/isn't playing. What will be interesting is anyone that stands out. -
@crucial Agree. I'm not sure where "NZ Asian Barabarians" comes from. I read that the Warriors U18s will now also be fielding a team (coached by DJ Forbes and Tony Iro) as a replacement for another team. They will be interesting to watch.
BTW, there was no Condors tournament last year so the team has been selected on reputation rather than performance.
