Fourth game in 15 days for Ta$man - might be a bridge too far.
It's also likely to be pretty wet at least underfoot. It's raining steadily here and not supposed to stop for a couple of days.

@mimic I thought that was a disease of old age and poor diet.
It's quite common amongst islanders (I think it's genetic), mainly due to our diet. Different foods trigger it for different people that I know. One of my mates had to give up doing calf raises or any exercises that put pressure on the joint cos it could trigger an attack lol

I think that's a bit of a myth. I sometimes get it from eating rich foods/too much seafood. I think it is a genetic thing because my dad and uncles do too.
As for Moala, as far as i know a lot of pacific islanders get it. Probably due to genetics.
Bloody painful.
Edit: beat me to it.

It's basically excess Uric acid forming crystals within joints (often in your foot).
My last severe bout was after eating Beef cheeks slow cooked in guinness, a pile of smoked mussels and cheese and a few glasses of wine straight after a flight. Pretty much the perfect storm. Felt like I had a nail driven through the middle of my foot for a week. -

I’ve heard it refered to as ‘Samoan cancer’. I know a number of Samoans that suffer from it. It can be managed through dietary choices.
