@chucknz That had crossed my mind as a possibility, but Stargazer's info is hopefully good news.

So Billy Harmon, Pete Samu, and now also Jone Macilai have arrived in Argentina. Haven't seen anything about players returning home early.

Jack Goodhue has returned home with a hamstring injury.

He will join fellow All Blacks Kieran Read, Israel Dagg, Owen Franks, Joe Moody and Richie Mo'unga in having to watch the Crusaders' next Super Rugby match, against the Jaguares in Buenos Aires on Sunday morning (NZT), from afar.

While it's hoped Dagg, Franks and Moody will play against the Sunwolves in Christchurch on April 21, Read, who required surgery to repair a lower back injury in mid-December, could struggle to be available for the three-test series against France in June.

Mo'unga, who suffered a fractured jaw against the Stormers on March 3, may be available in early April.

I assume that last bit is a typo, and should say that Mo'unga is expected back early May.

With reserve tighthead prop Oli Jager also returning home because he suffered a shoulder/neck injury at training in Jo'burg, Chris King is expected to provide cover for Mike Alaalatoa on the bench.

We could make an injured All Blacks 15, easily. Very worrying, along with the stats from the English Prem

    @stargazer There's a possibility you could fill a wing/FB slot with Duffie, who's touch-n-go

I was sure there was another lock, must be misremembering

Not that I give a rats about the Crusaders, but that is pretty good news that some front rowers are fit to play again.

    That's good news:

There's a couple of interesting posts on the ChCh Football Club's Facebook site:

    March 26
Here's your Premier Squad for the 2018 season
Sam Cottam, blah blah Hugh Renton, blah blah
    Not available due to injury
    Sam Lane, Will Jordan

    March 28
A huge shout out and big congrats goes to 3 outstanding CFC players who have been named in the New Zealand Under 20's.
Tom Christie (Capt), Will Tucker and Will Jordan are in the squad to play in the Oceania Rugby Championship

It's understood he has snapped a tendon and damaged bone near the tip of the digit, meaning he could spend up to six weeks on the sidelines with it in a splint. This is also likely to result in him racing the clock to get match-fit ahead of the All Blacks' three-test series against France in June.

@tim It will be pretty interesting who they'll be using on that loosehead side if Moody loses his race against the clock and with Hames yet to appear.

Would they beg Wyatt to put his boots on or will it be Tim Perry and someone (and who would that someone be?)?

A couple of years ago it seemed we had good depth on the loosehead side and tighthead was problematic, but it seems most of the loosehead depth has evaporated.

    From Newshub:

All Blacks prop Joe Moody fractures finger in comeback match

All Blacks coach Steve Hansen told RadioLIVE's Sunday Sport the 31-test forward should be back in time for the June test series against France.

"Unfortunately Joe dislocated a finger and put it through the skin, so it's a bad compound fracture," he said.

"He won't be able to play for another five weeks, so that has put him back a bit. Hopefully, he will be back around the middle of May."

Not official yet, but it looks like the Crusaders will play the French Barbarians/French XV in Christchurch on Friday, 15 June (the day before the 2nd test in Wellington).

Kieran Read was on The Breakdown last night. He said he's still at least a couple of months away from playing.
