@stargazer that's going to be tasty. Chance of revenge, but with the current coaching setup, I'm not convinced we'll demolish them like we have on previous tours. Average score has been 35-13 (although there's a bunch o'history in there).
Really, they should have drawn or won on the last tour in Christchurch. Then we dished out a 60-0 hiding in Hamilton; Cruden was simply sensational for 20 odd minutes, and then went off injured. Beaudy came on I think.
Do we think the current lot have that sort of performance in them? No, we do not. Sad face.

So I'm going to the first test, long weekend in Auckland. Then supposed to fly to welly, and also the Argentina test in Auckland.
One out of three ain't bad? ðŸ˜

I wonder whether they've even considered moving that test in Perth two weeks forward to 7 August (making it Bledisloe 1), the 2nd in Auckland (the Beervana weekend, 14 August) and the third in Wellington (21 or 28 August)?
And why are the Argies doing their managed isolation is Oz, if they're playing us first? Why can't they do it here?

What's the difference between teams going into managed isolation in Australia and NZ? Why can't all the games be played in NZ, instead of Australia?
Coz they are being wank about it?

No space in MIQ?

Because once in Oz after this Friday, you are stuck there for at least another 7 ish weeks, the bubble popped, Bled 1 Perth 7 Aug then two weeks quarantine (not that they'd get MIQ spaces) then test 2? Not even an option

Cos Oz have a much more relaxed, and I think specialised, team quarantine facility in NSW - France just used it. They have a hotel and base, already booked for Arg and SA, and they can train together as a team from Day 1 of their 2 week quarantine. NZ doesn't have the facilities, or I think the desire, to have that much of a relaxed inbound team quarantine procedure. This allows the Boks and Arge to play on their 3rd week in country with a decent enough build up, decent enough to knock over the ABs for the first time in history!

What happens if the covid situation in NSW is not under control? Does WA and QLD have the same quarantine facilities?
It was mentioned that the NSW facilities were ok for all of Oz, as in they don't count as being in NSW for inter state restrictions

But they still wouldn't be able to play in Sydney.

No the games will be elsewhere, Perth probably!

Hope NZR pisses off Hansen by delaying the extension decision for Foster until Sunday 14th November.

2022 Northern Tour - now three matches confirmed (I think):
So I think we've now got these confirmed (by the hosting nations, not by NZR) - times are NZT:
Sunday 6 November 2022 - 4.15am - Principality Stadium, Cardiff
Wales v New Zealand
Monday 14 November 2022 - 2.15am - Murrayfield, Edinburgh
Scotland v New Zealand
Sunday 20 November 2022 - TBC - Twickenham, London
England v New Zealand -
The article below is a month late, because the Wales v ABs test was already confirmed, but this is the first time I see this mentioned (although I suspected it):
Ian Foster's side are expected to play Japan in Tokyo en route to Wales and Scotland, before finishing the year with a headline test against Eddie Jone's England at Twickenham on November 19.
