@booboo if they'd been in the 3N, or TRC they would have won all thier games by eleventy-12 points.
You guys seem to be having reading comprehension problems.

@Snowy wait, are you Mr Gyde, my old English teacher?
If he was a GOM then we may well be similar.

Come on now. They were beatable in the days of neutral referees when we were spared the likes of Messrs Gourlay, Bezedinhuit and Robertse. Now that Covid 19 has hit we just might be back to home based referees and the bad old days that plagued the touring teams in Sth Africa where a win against even the most minor ranked team could be described as an achievement given the interesting rule interpretations that seemed to be applied.

Wasn't aimed at you specifically Snowy. More a comment on the obsession some have with just how awesome South Africa (unbeaten in 2020, and in fact since they last played us ... ) and England are. (Given how awesome they both are I expect a cataclysmic coming together where they both win and both lose next time they play.)

It is amusing that some fans are scared of those two teams. One that hasn't played and one that has played some turgid rugby. I'm sure that we would at least hold our own.
As I said my point was around the word "chance" and the coach who doesn't seem to be able to get the best out of his men. I guess he needs more time as head coach but I wouldn't be hugely confident at the moment, 50 / 50 for me if the Boks had some matches beforehand.
Covid has made rugby speculation quite volatile, rampant and meaningless.

That's a change?
Not really, but at least there was some basis to judge it on in the past. Especially when some countries haven't even played (well one, the RWC champions, but the point remains).

According to the article below, NZR is still hoping to host Italy and Fiji, this year. And that there will be an end-of-year tour.
Italy (twice) and Fiji are scheduled to take on the All Blacks in the mid-year tests, but those matches are also yet to be confirmed.
"We're also working with partners in countries such as Italy and Fiji who are up for the Steinlager Series (...) to understand what their governments are also saying in this space as well,” Robinson said.
Some of the conversations are progressing positively, Robinson said.
Depending on how the Covid-19 situation plays out in the coming months, Robinson is also confident the All Blacks will embark on an end of year tour.
“We're getting close to being able to finalise an end of year tour schedule,” he said.I've copied and pasted the paragraphs about the Rugby Championship in the 2021 Rugby Championship thread.

Nothing confirmed, yet.
The All Blacks could reportedly square off against a surprise opponent in one of two additional tests to the three matches already pencilled in for their end-of-year tour.
According to the New Zealand Herald, money-spinning tests against Wales and the United States are being planned by New Zealand Rugby [NZR] to take place in October.
NZR are reportedly looking to face off against the USA Eagles in a surprise clash at a yet-to-be-determined venue on October 23.The Herald reports that the All Blacks XV team, which was announced last March as a feeder side to the top-tier national team, could be used to face the USA Eagles after COVID-19 prevented the side from debuting last year.
The All Blacks still remain an option to face the USA Eagles, though, in what would be the two side’s first meeting since the New Zealanders thumped the Americans 74-6 at a sold-out Soldier Field in Chicago seven years ago.
A clash against Wales, meanwhile, is understood to be held at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium a week later on October 30.The two matches against the USA and Wales, which sit outside World Rugby’s designated test windows, would add an extra $2-3 million per test to NZR’s coffers via broadcast, ticket sales, and sponsorship revenue.
The fixtures would also bring the total number of matches on the All Blacks’ end-of-year tour to five, as Ian Foster’s squad are already scheduled to face France, Italy and Ireland. The Herald also reports that NZR are eyeing up a two-test series against Fiji and a one-off North vs South clash as an alternative option should Italy be unable to travel to New Zealand to face the All Blacks in their two-match test series in July.
Fiji are already scheduled to face the All Blacks once in July, but could be called upon to fill the void if the global pandemic prevents the Italians from making the trip in three months’ time.
