Adam Schefter reporting that Denver will sign Case Keenum with free agency opening this week. If that does happen I reckon they would still be in the running to draft a QB early - Case Keenum seems a bit underwhelming otherwise.
There's rumours of Brees to the Vikings but you'd have to think Saints would keep him - the man is a god in New Orleans.
Apparently in Kirk Cousins' original farewell address to WSH fans he hinted at Minny or the Jets. Vikings are the better option by far I reckon
Well, you will know what drives him with his choice of team. Money or a title.
Apparently, the Jets have more money than the Browns, after the Browns picked up Randall, Landry and Tyrod. -

It's looking like Josh Rosen or Josh Allen could fall to the Broncos at #5 so you have to think they'll take the QB.
It's obvious that Cousins is leaning to Vikings unless the Jets give him the world (which they may).
But if he goes with the Vikings that will force the Jets and Cardinals to try and trade up to get Darnold, Allen or Rosen ahead of the Bills and Broncos (Browns are guaranteed one unless they fuck it up). Mayfield appears to be the loser's prize (most likely the Cards).Another Schefter report: WR Allen Robinson will sign with Chicago. Be smarter going to the 49ers but he's from that part of the US so makes sense.

So Cousins being reported as going to the vikings now. Makes sense from a win now perspective. Interesting stat I saw was his record against teams who finished the season with a winning record - 4-9. Be interesting to see how his performance compares with Case Keenum's (who is now heading to the Broncos).

I'm still not convinced he's the goods. He certainly hasn't won much but his team was poor. No excuses if he goes to Minny

So QB moves so far:
Smith traded to Redskins
Garoppolo reups with 49ers
Bortles reups with Jags
Taylor traded to Browns
Keenum to Broncos
Bradford to Cardinals
Kizer to Packers
McCown resigns with Jets
Cousins to vikingsSo Bridgewater the only remaining free agent of note, probably destined for a competition with McCown at the Jets. Meanwhile Browns, Bills and Jets likely to be the most motivated to draft a qb. The bills especially have been loading up for a move. Lots of other teams holding high picks will be looking closely at the qbs around but I don't think any of them will be keen enough to pay the price to move up, unless someone (Mayfield or Allen most likely) slides into the mid-late first round.

Things are getting interesting.
Looks like the Pack will release Jordy Nelson and sign Jimmy Graham from Seattle who continue to cut and run
Looks like Malcolm Butler will leave NE for the Titans
Sources say Danny Amendola will leave NE for MIA
Jimmy Graham + Aaron Rogers could be approaching Gronk levels of greatness. The Packers also sign Mo Wilkerson who although coming off a couple of down years has pro-bowl upside so could add some nasty to the Packers defence. The Packers hardly ever make big move in free-agencies, but when they do they look about as good as any team when they do.
-
Arizona better sign a good backup QB because they'll be playing more than Sam Bradford next season....
With all the QB moves it's obvious the Bills are all in on trading their way into the top 5 of the draft. The Colts look like they might be willing to listen to an offers and I wouldn't be surprised if the Giants also listen to offers from the Bills, Cards and Jets.

Dion Lewis to the Titans as well.
Will be interesting to see what will happen to the Patriots.
It will be interesting to see if the Pats will pick up Jordy, a white WR will do Brady just fine.Rumours are Teddy Bridgewater is moving to the Jets.

Bridgewater is heading to the Jets and his deal is apparently 5 mill, with a heap of incentives. If true that is an incredible deal given the massive upside Bridgewater has. I know he needs to get on the field (and doing so will see the incentives kick in) but it means that the jets are getting mccown + Bridgwater for the same price as the bears paid for Mike Glennon and a major discount on what the Cardinals are paying for Bradford. Be interesting to see what McCarron ends up getting.
-
@cyclops AJ McCarron signs to be the Bills starting QB for $10 million over two years with $6.5 million available in incentives. Not a bad deal for the Bills and it gives them time to ready the QB they pick in the upcoming draft.
-
The 49ers sign RB Jerick McKinnon to a big four-year $37 million deal. Last night when looking through the free agent RBs, I began hoping the 49ers would take McKinnon (dual-threat RB with low mileage and proved himself well in Minnesota which favours big bruising RBs). But $37 million is a lot of money, even though the 49ers have the cap space.
Former 49ers RB Carlos Hyde has chosen to end his career in Cleveland.

Ravens fix their massive WR problems (i.e they had none) by signing Michael Crabtree and John Brown. The twist here is the Ravens panicked when they missed out on Allen Robinson and Sammy Watkins in the first hours of free agency and signed former Washington WR Ryan Grant to a $29 million deal (along with Brown but Brown is a good WR2).
Then Crabtree is released by the Raiders, who signed Jordy Nelson, and what do you know, the Ravens say that Grant has failed his physical (which Grant disputes) and go and sign Crabtree. -
Jets and Colts swap first rounders, in return for 2 2018 2nd rounders and a 2019 2nd.
A high price, but with less long term implications than than I was expecting. I'm impressed that they didn't have to part with a future first, possibly benefiting from being in quick (a bird in the hand and all that).
Bills now look like they'll miss out on the top 3 qbs, depending on what the Giants do. Personally I think the Giants will look to take a QB now, since they're in a great position and Eli can still be a bridge. But the Bills have the collateral for a move up. Having basically gutted their roster for that collateral, I hope they like all of the 'big four' QBs.
-
@cyclops It also forces the Browns to commit to drafting a QB with their first pick or else they could end up with their third QB choice when the fourth pick rolls around. I think the Giants will begin putting out rumours they are interested in drafting a QB and see if the Bills bite. Otherwise they will be happy with RB Saquon Barkley.
