@sneakdefreak Signing Keenum would suggest Giants will move on from Eli Manning. I'm not so sure they will.
I think they'll move him to Denver if the Broncos lose the Kirk Cousins bidding war.

I wonder if the Browns will pick Barkley with the #1 pick
It's tempting but they'll take Sam Darnold with the 1st pick and that Notre Dame OL with the 4th pick. I think the Giants will take Barkley with the 2nd pick however and sign QB Case Keenum in free agency.
There are talks that Sam Darnold might not be the QB they are after. They could pick up a QB, Allen or Darnold with the 4th pick.

And that's the end of the Legion of Boom. Michael Bennett traded to Philly, Richard Sherman to be released.
With LA Rams the new powerhouse in the NFC West, and the 49ers about to join them, it makes sense for Seattle to raise the white flag now and join Arizona in rebuilding their teams for 3-4 years down the road. You have to think Pete Carroll will retire this offseason or next.

@sneakdefreak they got a SB out of it, which was more than we got out of the Harbaugh years in SF

Yeah but the US media will always talk about how they should have won more (And they would have if they had handed it off to Lynch).

Browns are getting busy, picking up Landry for 2 picks (unclear which) and Tyrod Taylor for a third. Also said to be picking up Demarious Randall CB for the Packers for unknown compensation.
Taylor doesn't stop them from drafting a qb but does mean they can be more confident with someone who isn't ready to be a day one starter (Josh Allen maybe?). Landry is interesting and I'll be very curious to see what the picks are. I think his statline is better than his actual value, so browns are probably over paying for a slot receiver that will want to be force fed receptions.

The Cleveland Browns are trading up a storm right now! Acquire WR Landry from Miami for two picks (yet unknown) and are now trading a third-round pick to Buffalo for QB Tyrod Taylor. They have also made another trade for Green Bay CB Damarious Randall.

Taylor would only be a one-year stop gap if they do draft a Darnold or Allen but a 3rd rounder is pretty high tbh. I fear the Browns may be on the verge of fucking it all up again.

Browns now sending QB DeShone Kizer to the Packers.

The young Eagles GM, Howie Roseman, has been really impressive these last two years. He's made several great trades and a lot of them seem one sided in favour of the Eagles.
The Rams have made a couple of moves of their own. They've traded for two of the better corners in the league, Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib. Both come with some character concerns, but when you're so close to contending for a Super Bowl, it's probably worth the risk.

I'm wondering if there is a meme like the empire did nothing wrong. I'm still really comfortable with that playcall -- and rewatching some old games from that time recently (on the rower), there was more than one moment in (I think) the championship game where Lynch gets stuffed behind the line.
The pass call was OK, the execution by DangeRuss was not great. Still a good Superb Owl to watch.

Interesting signing. Sherman is a declining player (ageing and coming back from an Achilles rupture), with a reputation for being a difficult locker room guy, who will come with a high price tag. 49ers must be very confident that they're ready to compete this year to have signed him. He'll be a great addition if they can put together a playoff run but if they can't you have to wonder if the playing time could have gone to someone with a long term prospect.

Sherman is about as risky as Malcolm Butler tbh, but it's only a 3-year-deal where as Butler could have been 5/6 years. Sherman already knows the defensive coordinator and should be a decent veteran presence alongside Ahkello Witherspoon and Jimmie Ward.
The 49ers are still targeting Ohio State CB Denzel Ward in the draft but if he was to be taken before the 49ers are at the podium, then they also get the chance to trade down now as Buffalo have signaled that they want to trade up into the top 10 to nab a QB like Josh Allen or Josh Rosen.

I'm sure they talked about locker room dynamics and Sherman could provide valuable leadership to the group. And if Jimmy G can keep coming up with wins that will fix all issues

Yeah I think all the top tier free agent corners have good arguments for why they shouldn't be picked, so I don't think there's a 'can't miss' FA prospect. That said the way the league is set up at the moment (steady cap increases and the franchise tag) it's pretty uncommon for true elite talents to hit free agency so you've always got to balance their pros and cons, and as you say there are good arguments in favour of Sherman.

Adam Schefter reporting that Denver will sign Case Keenum with free agency opening this week. If that does happen I reckon they would still be in the running to draft a QB early - Case Keenum seems a bit underwhelming otherwise.
There's rumours of Brees to the Vikings but you'd have to think Saints would keep him - the man is a god in New Orleans.

Apparently in Kirk Cousins' original farewell address to WSH fans he hinted at Minny or the Jets. Vikings are the better option by far I reckon
