    Might be interesting to hear what he's got to say tomorrow. 🙂

    @Chris-B. Here's a better idea - don't listen to him.

    @KiwiMurph I don't mind Devlin.... in small doses. He's often quite entertaining.

    Nice if he gets his facts straight, though.

    @Chris-B. I haven't listened to Devlin in years but he used to be most entertaining after a Wellington/Hurricanes or Man U loss.

    @rocky-rockbottom said in Sunwolves v Blues:

    was just reading that the highest EVER temperature recorded in Auckland is 30.5 degrees. GTFO. Are you kidding? That's it? Thought it would be way higher.

    Almost a plausible alibi for falling the fuck apart when you have to not only go to 40 degree plus weather but also play a rugby match in it

    ps I cannot believe I just bumped the thread chronicling possibly the worst debacle in Blues history

    That's lower than I would think, but the humidity in Auckland can make it worse. I'd much rather a dry 30+ in Hawkes Bay than a humid 27 in Auckland.

    A quick google search says that a temperature of 32.4C was recorded at Whenuapai in Feb 2012. Temperatures at the airport (Mangere) aren’t reflective of the temperature in the city.

    I’m in Invers at the moment and we had a heatwave last weekend. The official temperature was 32.3C on Sunday but the weather station at the house I’m staying at said the outside temperature was 37.1C. RH was only 10% but it was still fuckin’ hot in the sun.

    Try surviving in the SE of the USA in the summer.

    @rocky-rockbottom yeah I read an article yesterday say highest in Wellington was 30.1 or something which seems way low, I swear I've sat around in like 36.

    @bovidae yeah same as most places, bit daft really, I know the Whangarei Airport is often 6 or 7 degrees lower than in town.

    Tuesday last week the 'official' temp was 26, but I was at a Funeral at Toll Stadium and the temp there was 35, my car told me it was 37 (which is usually about 2-3 deg higher than actual)

    I expect the idiots that designed our flash bridge used that sort of data and the variance was only to about 25deg and then first summer it was complete, it wouldnt work as the metal expanded too much at 25deg.
