You should be careful what you write @dogmeat, there are some sick fucks on this forum.

Allegedly Coutts tried to change skippers months ago and LE over-ruled him but Spithill has said he will step down for tomorrow if that's what's needed.
I know what happened in SF still has nerves jangling but last time round post their changes Oracle were much the faster boat. That is not true now. At best Oracle are matching our speed and have sacrificed stability and maneuverability to get there.
I simply can't see OUSA winning 6 before we win 1 - The dream is over for Ellison Coutts and Spithill
Pah - knowing he has a rocketship and intent on (i) building the legend of Jimmy Spittall; and (ii) the utter and eternal destruction of Team NZ and Grant Dalton, Spittall has gifted the rookie Burling a 6-1 lead knowing he can beat him with both hands tied behind his back.
TAB has TNZ at $1.03 and Oracle at $10.
Get on it, I say. At 6-3 this time tomorrow, you'll be wishing you were with me.

Jeez Mr Meat, we may all be thinking it but no need to put it into print!
If I've jinxed us I will cop whatever punishment the collective wisdom[sic] of the Fern deems appropriate
Banned, reactivated just to be banned again. Reactivated then banned...
Seems a bit lenient

@Kirwan well, Spithills presser indicates he hasn't dreamed it's over, although his body language and face makes you think he is worried...
now rumours Larry is gonna pull him from tomorrow too.
All makes sense now why they changed the rules from the skipper appearing at press conferences to the helmsman.
Slingsby will take over tomorrow and then face the music should they lose. Spithill will be nowhere to be found. Classic.

Apparently all the NZ flags have been taken down off street poles which was done by race organisers (Whihc I assume is Oracle)
Reasonably petty move and a bit sad.
Another reason I can't really get into this sport as it just doesn't follow the "sporting code"

The big question is, if we do manage to win, are we cnutish enough and dodgy enough to hold onto the damn thing for more than one challenge?
-
@Hooroo haha
"I'm told the message ... is to get rid of them, because 'how dare they (Team New Zealand) have more support than the local team'.
"Locally it's being called flag-gate. It's a big thing over here." -
The same thing happened a few weeks back as hundreds of NZ flags attached to power poles were removed in the dead of night. Those NZ flags were said to have been a gift from Stephen Tindall.
The Americans are fiercely patriotic so US flags are everywhere on the mainland but Bermuda is a British Overseas Territory so Oracle can hardly claim the moral high ground.

Keep my seat on the bandwagon warm , I'll join the rest of you 30 seconds from end of the next race we look like winning.
I'll join when Jegga does, I only knew the Cup was on a while back when my OCD got the better of me and I was clearing my unread page.

Better wait until after the court ruling.

Hey I know we're hoping this sailing thingo is over tomorrow but I really didn't follow what was going on in San Fran until it looked like we'd win and didn't so really misssd all the fireworks of Spithill baiting TNZ back then.
Is there any decent summary on line of the antagonism that I can read to inform the particular distaste held for him?
Just done a quick google but can't find much.

You can pretty much draw your own conclusions about Spithill after watching that.
This year most of it centered around his comments after the second round robin race, and then a comment here he mentioned he had a mole in the ETNZ team.
