The idea is to ram them at the start then.
That might be strangely prescient albeit the other way around. There was a comment on the radio yesterday that Oracle have admitted to having a second race boat. Ram us, both boats broken and they can sail around uncontested in their spare. Wouldn't put it past the pricks either.
Still, good to see us with an apparent advantage in light airs. We seem to point higher, or have greater boat speed with a similar angle.
I will now go to Warkworth and nobble any of the bastards wandering around in Oracle shirts before they head to Bermuda.

@Snowy let me know if you need any help
They're nerds who deal with hydro dynamics and carbon fibre. If there's more than 5 of them to beat me about the head with a laptop them I'll give you call...

Fucken ripper, 2 more tomorrow and we will get to see Coutts ripping into cuntface again like 4 years ago.
Hopefully the comeback doesn't happen thoIan Percy talked about the final being down to sailing. That only applies if there is no significant difference in boat speed. We appear to have a significant speed advantage which is massive. We need to try and finish Oracle off as fast as possible to negate the influence of Larry's billions. By the sounds of it we have learned our lesson from SF and ETNZ will continue to improve the boat right until the end. How was Jimmy at the presser?

TNZ winning the first race..
But man another hiccup at the last mark.. Led by 1.49 minutes, and only won by 30 secs
Just saw that the scores started with TNZ at -1 and Oracle at 0. So Oracle need to win 7, and TNZ need to win 8.
I thought Oracle had 1 point already, and only need 6 more to get to 7.Apparently the -1 was due to a desire to ensure a minimum number of races.

Apparently ETNZ "are under no illusions"... jesus, Burling sounded like a retard when he was answering questions, other when he was just completely honest:
"Peter... if Oracle's good news is that they're only one down, what's your good news?"
"That we're one up."
Cue laughter...
and then more rabbit-in-headlights babble with "we're under no illusions" thrown in a few times. -

I don't really care what he sounds like, as long as he wins. -
@mimic Yeah - I'd like it if he wins, but I was cringing when I heard "look, we're under no illusions.." for the third time. And I never got around to counting it, but I think there was another 3 times.
And I also enjoyed watching Jimmy chewing tacks while answering questions, and when Pete made honest off-the-cuff un-politicial answers. -

I don't really care what he sounds like, as long as he wins.Anyone remember Fitzy when he started? "Full credit to......"? or Kevvie's "yeah definitely"? Let them laugh all the way to Auckland. For the next AC

Watched both races while out at lunch, those boats still amaze me, the speed and agility of them is astounding, plus all that pressure on the 'foil things' when they are flying, nose down, look ready for a crash!

uh oh, Twattue has written Spithill off!

Or McCaw with his 'ya know' at the end of every sentence. Was a good drinking game though.

Larry Ellison's money at work? How much was Rattue paid to curse TNZ with his inbuilt wrongometer?

All very convincing so far.
Been betting on these races (like I have right thru the LV series with great success) and odds for NZ win have been $2 (race 1 and 2), $1.80 (race 3) and $1.67 (race 4). Bookies generally are pretty good with this stuff so that odds trend says a lot about what they are thinking. Doesnt change much to change the outcome of these races so would expect next race to still be around $1.50-1.60 for NZ
