Highlanders v Stormers

Did I see right that the Highlanders packed a full scrum when DLB came back on. The locks and loose forwards were all still there.
I didn't understand that either. Unless Franklin was off, Squire at lock and a back on the flank?

What a beating. Being a NZ rugby fan is glorious during this long golden period.
May winter never come

Osbourne went off. Bit unconventional, but I guess they figured a loose forward was more valuable than a back. Hard to argue really.

That's brilliant! Big fan of that decision.

Watching recording. Haven't read thread nor do I yet know result....
20 mins in and a couple of thoughts:
Stormers experts at obstruction. Some subtle some pretty crude and obvious but Jacko not picking it up.
Aaron Smith seems to have remembered he is Aaron Smith.
Plenty whinging about Kebble tipping Evans in the lineout. Was completely justified as he did not have to push at Evans which tipped him over.

Jscko makes some mistakes doesn't he?
I haven't been able to watch (damn time difference at the moment) but it sounds from this thread that Jackson had a shocker.
Everyone has bad days but he really lacks the consistency needed to be ranked as high up the reffing totem pole as he is.
Good on him for going into reffing after playing and I guess there was a desire all around for him to be the poster boy for that which has paid of to an extent with a few more ex players getting into the ranks but it's a pity he is so frustrating.
I think there are a few NZ refs that are better than him at the moment but are ranked lower. Even that christian fellowship looking kid whose name I can't remember is better. -
Plenty whinging about Kebble being penalised for tipping Evans but not a peep when Leyds basically sits down and Fekitoa skims over the top there's not a peep.
It's a similar situation for me as the whingers argued "what else was he going to do" for the first incident. Too much Marshall being over fair to the opposition.

I called that at the time, pretty rough high tackle call i thought.

Fuck off and shut up Marshall you floppy haired whiny little bitch
although I agree with your general sentiment, I agree with the comms on that one. Tough on the Stormers prop
Disagree with you tordah and @Bones
He didn't have to lift his leg. Definite penalty. Definite no card.
Something that Jacko did get right.
