Yes for sure. Don't know if the tackler going down hurt has ever got them off but it seems to happen a fair bit. Do feel a bit sorry his as he was clearly on ice skates for the last metre or do before contact. Yellow was the right call though imo.
One of comms tried to point that out at the time but got shouted down by Marshall who started off on one of his rants, suggesting Seta should have no arms tackled him in the air instead ffs.
Not long after he had his rant about the Sunwolves taking the three from the penalty.
It reminded me of Phil Gould having arguements with himself and needing Ray Warren to tell him to calm down. -

Yeah, it's not like the other commentator was saying none of it was Seta's fault and he should be exonerated and Knighted on the Queen's birthday honours list, simply a contributory factor as to why the incident happened. What was Seta supposed to do once he knew he was going to hit, shoulder charge the bloke in the air?

Just watched the highlights on Sky Sport 1, including that tackle in the air from Tamanivalu. There's no way he faked an injury. His whole demeanour was one of disappointment, nothing else.
You can see it on this video from 24'.35" of the game. It also clearly shows that he had no way of avoiding the collision because he was sliding the last few metres. Marshall was, as usual, talking a lot of nonsense. He saw Tamanivalu trying to wrap his arms around the player as a tackle attempt. It may or may not have been. You may just as well see it as an attempt to limit the impact of the collision which he clearly couldn't avoid at that point.
More interesting is that - apart from 3 missed goal kicks and one kick into touch on the full - Mo'unga had an excellent game. For someone who has been out for 7 weeks, he showed remarkable accuracy in his kicks. That kick leading to Bridge's try was absolutely brilliant. If he works on his goal kicking, all will be fine. I think he offers more than Hunt, who will probably be fighting for a bench spot with Mckenzie, rather than for a starting spot with Mo'unga.
Read also had a great game for someone who hadn't played at this (or higher) level for months. Havili was also good, as were Romano, Funnell and - obviously - Mataele.

Those two did play well but that game told us nothing about their form.
The Sunwolves were woeful, and it really shows how poor the Bulls are to lose to them. They were lucky it was so wet as I think in the dry, with a fast paced game the Crusaders would have got close to 100.
And did people really think it was a faked injury? Nobody that effective gets dragged for a fake injury.

Quality of the ref a factor? Or have been using the normal refs?

Yep, for any of the NZ teams it's nothing more then a training run. Kind of entertaining if it's your team playing them otherwise there's very little interest.

Hoi, I wasn't even involved in this one! I can't help it if Johnson is such a fan boy - damn, I think even Chris B thinks he's slightly over the top for all things red n black and Mako.
No more than others get bitter over Smithy and the Magpies (and various Canes players).
After half a century of listening to Auckland and Wellington commentators patronise second division Nelson Bays I have absolutely zero sympathy for the poor Auks who think TJ is pissing in their lattes.
