JOC was on the radio with Maaaasaaaaaaarto the other day talking about how much he'd matured as a person etc etc etc. Fucking idiot. Ali too.

Regardless of what certain people may claim about these drugs, they are illegal and completely off-limits if you want to keep your job. How stupid do you have to be to take that risk.

@Bovidae does this say something about the culture at thier club or the culture in the ABS?

@taniwharugby It says more about the individuals. The much-maligned Ben Tameifuna also plays for Racing but I haven't seen his name in the media for the wrong reasons.

In and of itself this isn't a huge crime.

But JOC has just completed a PR tour of Australia, doing 'mea culpa' interviews and showing he's matured. It was a subtle-as-a-sledgehammer way of saying 'I want to come home'. And most people believed him, I reckon.

And then just a week later he goes out and does this. Single-handedly sinks his own career.

    What. A. Moron.

Neither I reckon. It's more of a reflection of general society. Thousands of others in France probably had a few lines of coke on their Saturday night out.

These 2 were idiots making the transaction in such a public place. Their clubs and the ABs have nothing to do with it

@SammyC I was more thinking with the DC incident, footage of him skulling beers in the changing rooms (happens everywhere I know) doesnt make it appear like there is a good culture.

I was surprised when Dan got done last week. Wasn't even a little surprised about this.

It's about as surprising as 'Jesse Ryder, caught with a pie'

It's not about the amount of coke it is about being allowed to or not allowed to. If I got done for buying coke my job would be ended immediately.

    Hilarious, big ups Ali.

Pretty much retired, just wanted to have a good night and was a bit unlucky. Will probably be the head news story on stuff for the next week

I blame Tew. I mean if he can't control ex-ABs from going too the Parisian back streets then he should be publicly flogged*

    • just thought I'd get that in before Ratpoo does

His article is all about the pointlessness of prohibition and how it makes criminals out of otherwise law abiding citizens . I have no interest in drugs myself and I agree with most of that but Williams, Ratturd and O'beiber all have a long history of dickheadish behaviour so I can't say I'm either surprised or sympathetic.

It was such a bizarre article. I'm not sure it belonged anywhere near the sports section. Basically Rattue saying that he used to love doing drugs and therefore it was okay the Ali and JOC did.

Says a lot good about the AB set up under Henry/Hasen's "better people make better ABs" reign when you look at how many have been involved in off field incidents during their career - and very little if any happened under their control.

Especially when you look at guys like Mils, Collins, Carter, Hore all had incidents after being appointed match captain at various points (granted Carter got injured before playing) - but managed to keep their slate clean while in the AB set up.

That said the ABs still blow off steam from time to time - it's just done in a highly structured way, at the right times and away from prying eyes and kept within reason.

It's the Champs Elysรฉes. It's the most famous Street in France and we've been under what they call Vigipirate protocols since the terror attacks. So yeah lots of cops around famous land marks.

Not smart fellahs. As for DC who drives around the etoile if they can avoid it that thing is a shit show.

So, Ali Williams, as anyone who has read McCaws book those two are BFFs. Maybe Richie isn't as boring as his glider book suggests? ๐Ÿ™‚

@MN5 Ali is a fuck knuckle for sure but a comedian he is not.

I have never appreciated Ali's cliched brand of humour. Like the oh so side splitting time he and SBW decided to do anything but answer questions in WC presser. Im sure it was funny in his head but it was a classic "died on stage" moment.

It didn't surprise me at all when I found out about Ali. I don't think its that big of a deal TBH at his stage of his career. Let he who is without sin etc cast the first blah, blah - so I can't really go all holier than though.

JOC though. Just a couple weeks ago at the 10s Aussie coms were saying he's so young he can come back and give it a real go. Nah! He's a young dumb coont that will go down in rugby history as a coulda, woulda, shoulda but did too many lines, retired because of severe repetitive stress disorder in his right hand from having to flick his hair to one side and marrying his reflection. Just a massive waste of talent. When he was good I felt uneasy with him in the Wallabies backline. Shame.

Although according to reports he was seen partaking in the evils of fast food takeaway ๐Ÿ™‚

a bit tongue in cheek pal. I agree that AW always comes across as massive douche and his haka always irritated the fuck out of me given he's a first generation NZer.
