@Nepia I think so. NZ parents. They went back to NZ for a while then returned to Aus as far as I know.
Yeah, I saw him playing some rugby and touch in Palmy when they were back in NZ.

After the Warriors gave Des Hasler a stay of execution, the Tigers getting another hiding is making it look like Jason Taylor will be first out of a job
-
@mariner4life The Raiders are looking the goods however - my GF pick for this season is Raiders/Storm.
-
I'm watching the Roosters replay now and the refs have done them a few favours so far, and that's before the biggest call.
Reports Taylor will be gone in 24 hours. 3 games and fired even though they won one. Who do they bring in? Cleary?
-
Taylor gooonnne. Former Warriors coach Andrew Webster will take over until they find a new coach (either Cleary or Toovey).

Oh and surprised to see no comments re the officiating in the panthers v roosters game? So many shocking calls. Roosters very luck to get the win there
The lack of urgency from the Knights staff to bring their fullback Brendan Elliott off for a concussion test was the most shocking call of the weekend. He had to get knocked out a second time for them to act. Considering the club is being sued for their lack of urgency regarding a former player's headknocks, you think they would have taken that a bit more serious.
-
@Sneakdefreak similarly the Dragons yesterday calling Dugan a jaw injury and letting him stay on
-
Titans, Knights and Dragons all in line for big fines apparently
-
Already facing legal action from former player James McManus, the Knights allowed fullback Brendan Elliot to play on after being struck in the head by a swinging arm in the 28th minute. Elliot was then floored again in the 62nd minute after a tackle, this time resulting in him limping from the field. The scenes come as the NRL faces immense criticism for their alleged disregard for their treatment of player concussions.
Geeeezus, have you seen watched that video? Can't believe they left Elliott on the field! Also wonder whether the players that tackled him have been cited for foul play.
-
Yea the swinging arm is getting 4 weeks i think

Just the arm or is the rest of Hymel Hunt included?
-
@Sneakdefreak the arm showed no remorse
-
Just regarding the Tigers, it appears part of Taylor's issue (well, one of many) was that none of the so-called "big 4" were willing to sign while Taylor was the coach (or, in reality, there was so much conjecture about the coach's future)
Can someone explain to me why they are called a "big 4"? In reality they have a good prop, a great fullback, and two halves that, despite doing absolutely fuck all, seem to think they are worth a shit ton of money. Seriously, those halves are leading the charmed life. They have never shown that they have any more than potential, and yet any failures were blamed on Farah, and once he was moved on, the coach. How about playing good for a few weeks in a row (a season might be nice) before holding a club to ransom? Looks a lot like their manager (same guy for all 4) is holding them up as a package deal.
The Tigers are the Sydney Warriors (except they won a fucking comp).
-
@mariner4life Because it's all relative I guess, those are the big 4 for that club.
I actually enjoyed watching 360 and Matty Johns last night to see all the scuttle butt.
-
yea, i missed them but i bet there was some interesting comments.
I liked Tallis getting up DCE for being shit at Manly (only to have them get a big win), it seems like there might be a shift in the league media, and the players might start getting some deserved heat, rather than just blaming coaches.
I get what you are saying Nepia, but if i was the Tigers, i wouldn't let those halves dictate my club. If they want huge money, prove you're worth it, or test the market. But then, the Tigers haven't made a rational decision in a decade
-
Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks should be under the pump big-time, especially considering they chose Moses over Te Maire Martin (who is doing great at the Panthers).
