The odds changes have been very dramatic today.
I'm not jumping to any conclusions, but 9 wickets in last session, mmm.....
Almost reminiscent of the Australians at Hobart.
I love cricket and love to support the BC's but this sort of last session collapse just seems all too surreal
Not to messr gupta it's not

Yeah, I know where you are coming from, but I don't want to let suspicions of fixing ruin my enjoyment of any unexpected results in sport. They're the best moments, so I'll treasure them until there is evidence to suggest otherwise.

It would really be extraordinary. If you match fix - you have to do so in advance. You can't just decide to do it on the day.
If you are suspicious of match fixing you would have to assume that Pakistan did their best until tea and then got out deliberately after that. There are a few problems with that, however. What if the openers had just been dismissed last night? Then the bookies lose a lot of money. If they did match fix, then basically the whole team would have to have been in on it. Also wouldn't it be obvious just by looking at the betting history whether or not there was match fixing? It should also be pointed out that I don't there has been any match fixing in cricket since Cronje. Bookies find it far easier to do spot fixing as there is less scrutiny around it.

Wagner's last 12 months in Test cricket have delivered 50 wickets at 21.

Is this really true (from CricInfo) ??
New Zealand secure their first Test series win over Pakistan since 1985.
@MN5 ?

I'm awesome.

To be fair to you BSG, it was looking ok for quite some time.

@hydro11 I heard that Cairns was spotted leaving the ground
Don't think this was a fix but one can never be certain these days.
Its hard to fix wickets and almost never done. And fixing on tests is rare comparted to limited over stuff. Most fixing over the last 20 years has been easily controlled stuff like runs scored in a 10 over burst, wides, runs off opening over, no. of no balls etc. All shit you can put bets on on the illegal markets.

Yep, you went against history and recent form and picked a comfortable Black Caps victory, so well done to you Mr Cricket Oracle.

Probably my proudest fern moment since I predicted David Tua would knock out Shane Cameron in the 2nd round back in 09.
I can only take some of the credit though. Some of the Black Caps really played a part too.

Epic fan fail from me. Bunked work to attend, sat in the stands bored shitless until 3.15 and then left to get kids. Santner had just bought the first wicket at that point and you wouldn't have bet on a second.
I only missed the most ridiculous collapse in history.
Brings to mind my cousin's fail at that Seddon Park epic, the 2007 ODI vs Australia. He left when we were about 50-4 chasing 350 and listened on the car radio as McMillan, McCullum etc got us home. Thankfully I stayed for the entirety of that game.

@No-Quarter Wags is magnificent. I love the guy. He looks like he is trying at least 10% harder than everyone else. And his aggro is genuinely paying off. His average is now better than Boult's and I think he's 6th all time for NZ (min. 50 wickets) on averages and 12th on wickets (should be up around 8th by the end of the summer unless Boult or Southee pig out on the Bangles).

@Tregaskis You should take some credit for the win. It's a bit like heading off to the toilet during a game only to find someone scores while you are away!
Must avoid Aaron Smith jokes ...

Very hard not to love the Wag and his work. Is he first name bowler picked now dp you guys reckon or is that still Boult?
