All Blacks v Italy

@Donsteppa expect they will get the chance next week.
I think if we rolled out a full strength team this week people would think the coaches are in panic mode after last week, whereas rolling out this team, looks pre-planned and that the coaches have it all under control and last week was just a hiccup, rather than the emergence of this great weakness Eddie has been pointning out all year

Let's hope the work experience kids can get the job done.
I'm in two minds about resting some of the experienced guys. On the one hand it's keeping guys fresh at this time of year. On the other hand some of them need a big kick up the arse and to put things right on the field after going MIA against Ireland...
A loss hurts an AB. Bad. The experienced guys that basically never lose won't just be hurting, they'll be fucking angry. So Hansen says "stew on that for an extra week". Bring on Dublin...

The lame jokes are the sole reason I log onto the Fern every day.

Very disappointed this is not televised in Australia. Must be loads of kiwis in OZ. Looks like we get the other games. I assume the Italians are wanting too much?
Im not sure how it works exactly ,
4 games , 2 televised , has anyone actually explained why 2 are and the other 2 aren't ? Is it different TV rights.

Different rights holders - yes. Each union sells their rights individually, some might sell their whole home series as a package, some might do it ala carte.
This is exactly what happened on the 2009 EOYT where the Italian fixture wasn't even screened in Aus either.

So the two that aren't shown ,
Is that because they cant secure the rights or because they figure the price is too high ?

I added this to the first post of the 2016 end-of-year tour thread, last night:

Ireland v Canada: BeIN 3 (LIVE) K/o 6.15am, tv guide says 6.25am AEST, replays 1.30pm, 10.30pm -
yeah cos it's not a friendly this week...

Right, time for that All Black pack to start building up to be an angry, effective, and aggressive bunch of mofos on kickoff.
Between it being the year of the sporting upset, and their much better (on paper) counterparts phoning it in last week against Ireland, this All Black 8 need to front up.
Preferably before the start of the second half.

Try cricfree , it says its on there

@Donsteppa was having a look at odds today.
Paddy power giving Italy a 40 point start and for a NZ win it is 1/500 while an Italian win is 16/1
TAB has ABs $1.01 and Italy $15
-
This game needs to result in the AB's giving the Italians the most brutal of hidings, otherwise the Irish will be even further boosted for Dublin.
The Maori AB's playing like a bunch of dumb fuck headless chooks against Munster did not help our cause one bit.
