Wallaby EOYT 2016

I saw a little of the pre match and all they said was that he wasn't playing. I presume he's injured because they zoomed in on him sitting on the bench looking more of a tool than usual in his civvies.
France holding on here but I reckon they get done over in the end. That Morohan looks alright.
-
What do I know. France just scored a great try.

Foley started.

France are pretty dangerous on the breakout, some nice offloading. That was probably a knock on and well against the run of play - Aus just need to keep their heads and they'll run away with it.
-
Outrageous finish from Kuridrani. 25-16.

Great try from Fofana. The French aren't defeated yet.
Yup they've upped their game and look dangerous with ball in hand. 25-23 with 13 to go, great finish on the cards.
-
Droppie misses and the Wallabies hang on to stay unbeaten on their EOYT. Good win given how many players they rested.
-
Geez, Hometown put his whistle away and bottled it in that last couple of minutes. The last scrum OZ on skates went to ground and collapsed, he calls a reset. Very poor call.
Then the ensuing breakdown and Pocock on the ground still with hands on ball.
Defensively OZ were good. France a little better in the 2nd 40, but for large portions of the test looked very disjointed in attack.
-
That droppy was a low percentage option.
Agree @ACT-Crusader. Would have thought both those were penalties.
-
Haven't seen the game BTW - first family camping trip in ages and I wasn't going to let that go. Supposed to be a "storm" which was barely an extended shower
So... Ireland next week. Expect most of our "first" XV to return, but I'm starting to wonder how many miles Foley has left in the legs.

Cooper, who has been battling an ankle injury since Tuesday, faced a final fitness test on the morning of the game but couldn’t overcome the niggle.

Aussies are really going to be out on their feet for the last test. Holy smokes, what were they thinking. England at the end of a very long year at Twickers. Seems good for short term money gain but bad for long term reputations/confidence/legacy etc.
-
Geez that was an intense finish, reckon the French were on the upper in the last 10 and wouldn't have been a robbery if that droppie hit the target.
This game showed good things from both sides, but either was equally inconsistent and left points on the field due to errors in execution/decision making.
The Wallabies should have put them on the sword, but I guess having less than 500 caps in total, you can't expect a composed and tidy finish, when the opposition is desperate for a win.
I think all the back three played well, and it was nice to see some actual pace on the flanks, Godwin was solid on defence with 12 hits and none missed.
From the pack Simmons I reckon had one of his best outings in gold, Pocock gave his all, Tolu Latu made a couple of errors early on in D, but got better and better as the game went on, and I hope Cheika can give him more minutes from the bench from now on.

Yeah definitely some risk there. Hopefully the rest for some key players allows them to rip right in against Ireland.
