Maybe it's because i am in Aus, and Aus love them some tennis players, so they get a heap of coverage, but is there a bigger tool in world sport than Nick Kyrgios?
You see his tank job last night? What a fuckwit. And when he cops shit from the crowd, he started mouthing off back at them. And the bloke is a serial offender, and completely unrepentant. Genuine tool.
He can obviously play, he's won a couple of times this year, but his attitude is fucking rubbish, and will result in him never reaching whatever potential he has.

I was watching a sports round up on I think Sky the other day and they were talking about how Kyrios has let his tennis do the talking recently and how he's slowly winning over the Aus public.
Ha, so much for that.
The guy is a prize piston wristed gibbon and a coward. Why a coward? Because of all that talk of not actually liking tennis and not trying his best. What bullshit. He's just hedging his bets in case his loses. What a total allround fuckstick.

I listened to a Kyrgios interview yesterday and he was talking about how bored he was in his first match, how it was "tough" for him given he flew in late, the travel to the court was disruptive - the worst case of 1st world problem whinging I had heard in a long time.

I can actually kind of relate to Nick Kyrgios. He clearly has a love/hate relationship with tennis. He doesn't really enjoy playing it but it gives him a lifestyle he could never enjoy otherwise. I can kind of relate to it in a sense. He is good at something he doesn't really want to do but there is nothing else he really wants to do either. Is his attitude rubbish? His attitude isn't going to make him the greatest but does he really want to be? He certainly doesn't want to put in the effort required to achieve that.

I guess if I was in that situation, having a talent in sport, I'd be busting my arse to make the most of it before I was forced to retire, or could do it on my own terms. Hence, I see his carry-on as a fucking waste.
Then again, I could probably try a lot harder at what I do for a living and reap the benefits
though maybe not at this fucking shit hole...If he was legit about getting out, surely its a case of stringing together enough wins to invest a bit of cash somewhere, and then bailing?

well he is being a prize cock, fans are the ones who ultimately pay him these large sums of money, they pay for tickets that fund the appearance fees he gets...just be good if event organisers put a clause in about paying after the tournament or just told him to fuck off.
I'd of been seriously pissed if I had paid to watch that, and I couldnt give a flying fuck if he doesnt really like tennis, if I had paid to go it means I do like tennis and want to see top players play tennis not act like prize knob ends!

Well yes and no. There is a shit load more money to be made in sponsorship than there is in prize money.
No doubt that he's a complete tool, but he's of mixed race, is a huge talent when it comes to tennis, and in his own way, is quite charasmatic.
Given that probably 50% plus of the world are doing jobs they don't want to do, at a salary of probably 1% of what Kyrgios should be earning if he "played the game", it's hard to disagree that he is indeed, the biggest tool in world sport. the Martin Shkreli of sport?

If Aaron Smiths stalkers aren't happy with what he is earning they'll positively blow a fuse if they ever come across Kyrgios popping into the toilets with a nubile young lass.

So why does he get sponsors? Because fans buy the shit he is sponsored to wear!
His manager or someone needs to smack him around the ears and tell him to sort his shit out...or one of his sponsors pull sponsorship would be ideal.

@taniwharugby Nah, it was at NTA. Although in reality is was more a point of view than disagreeing / commenting on anything else.
There is certainly money to be made as the "bad boy" of a certain sport, but you at least have to just be super passionate, arrogant or something. Not trying is not being a bad boy .. it's being a tool.
