Wow, just wow. A Eur1M agreement that was ORAL ONLY WTAF? Amateur hour.
That's the business genius RA has now lost with McLennan throwing his toys out of the cot?

Reason actually on point about Hamish
"Rumours of an impromptu champagne party being thrown at the headquarters of New Zealand Rugby have yet to be substantiated, although the bellicose Aussie businessman was known to be about as popular with the leaders of NZR as a rabid possum."
Seriously quality writing.

Yeah you know the subject must be a bit of a toxic individual when that happens.

Sounds like Greg Growden from over here. Enormously pleased with their own cleverness and has enough readership of similar intelligence to chortle along with them.

.Had he left after the World Cup, I think he would be viewed differently. People would respect the balls to make the big calls, and resign when the biggest call didn't work out. Instead he hung on, insisting we needed him and it was all a witch hunt from jaded losers who were out to get him. It was sad.
Has his redundancy package been published? That'll be why he didn't resign.
Given he was an elected Chair, I'm not sure he gets one? I'm no expert in corporate governance though...

Yup he decided to chuck his teddies out cos he couldn't be chair, he could've stayed as board member

Board members aren't employees so wouldn't be covered by normal redundancy and as @Machpants notes he resigned because he wouldn't be Chair.

Ever wondered what Marika Vunibaka is up to? Wonder no more!

Yeah, but Mark N is a bit of an outlier. I don't think any other player has a realistic chance at getting a league contract.
Good on him, will be interesting to see how he goes. These days I don't think you can be too attached to local players, the vast majority will go overseas at some point. But it's rarely permanent and I wouldn't be surprised if he came back in 2027 for the World Cup.

if i was a winger i would probably choose the NRL as well. More touches, more runs.
