    The three countries ahead of us are essentially part of the West Indies, and compete under that banner for sports like cricket. T20 cricket will be at the LA Olympics, can't see any of them not competing as the West Indies.

    After finishing 4 th per capita in the Paris Olympics, we are still involved in a number of other major sports. What is becoming most impressive is the variety of sports, we are no longer simply a country with a great rugby team.

    Do we have a great rugby team?

    New Zealand successfully defended their gold medal against Canada. Michaela Blyde led the offensive charge for the Black Ferns but Canada remained competitive and surpassed expectations. Watch the 2024 Paris Olympics on NBC and streaming on Peacock, July 26 - Aug 11.

    Two wins in the America's Cup and a win in the World Twenty 20 Women's Cricket World Cup semi final. Another amazing day for NZ sport.

    @booboo exactly

    also think it a bit of we were batting amazingly above our weight for a long time...and more recently its just been batting well above our weight...but people dont think about it like that and only compare to when we were amazing

    It is "punching" above our weight, our batting is flakey at best and prone to collapse.

    "Aotearoa has a lot of aura" ... considering most of the continent is underwater.
    (The Atlantis of the South, minus pre-Hellenic legendary R&D).
