Funny. Just the other week I heard someone on a podcast or replay of a radio show whinging about how shit our sporting teams were doing. White Ferns, Black Ferns, Silver Ferns, All Balcks, Black Caps etc etc.
That and a couple of other recent whinges reminiscent of the Murray Deaker years in the 90s about why we're not as good a Aussie and how do we get like them.
Roller coasters.
We do pretty good though.

also think it a bit of we were batting amazingly above our weight for a long time...and more recently its just been batting well above our weight...but people dont think about it like that and only compare to when we were amazing

@bayimports to my point, we're still ranked higher than all but two countries most pf which have higher populations...so abjectly yes IMO...we're just use to being higher

It is "punching" above our weight, our batting is flakey at best and prone to collapse.
