Some perspective being bought to how close it is between the top teams. A refs decision or a missed goal kick is all it takes.

Libbok should have kicked it but I wouldn't call that a gimme. It was a good 30/35 metres out and on a slight angle in front of a rabid opposition fanbase

What a year it's been for Los Pumas. Beating the All Blacks and the Springboks in the same Rugby Championship.

    Nice one Argentina!

Haven't read the thread but my main takeaway was how cool it was seeing Peyper nervously pacing around the back of the coaches box. Easy to forget these guys are fans too.

The referee was not as good as a few Ferners think he was. The SA dives into the rucks were never penalised. The SA forwards consistently lost their feet when Pumas were contesting in the rucks.

@MN5 They are ranked 10th in the world, almost everyone beats Australia at Rugby these days.

The only way SA don't win this one is if they get 5 red cards

    SA by 26-31

    Sorry Mike, can’t resist!

    😂

In the end it only took one YC

    Terrible decision IMHO

Could easily have gone the other way with a leading forearm away from the body

But fair play to Argentina they absolutely made the most of their advantage

Reality is despite all Argentina’s good play that should have been a narrow win for a SA side in transition

    Pollard would have kicked it

The ones that stood out for me were the two massive knock ons by springboks that he attributed to Argie knock backs - one when there wasn't even an argie near the ball.

P.S. That ref was ordinary. Not sure how many Tests he's done, but I've seen him with the flag on a few occasions, and never inspires confidence.

No howlers, sure, but needs work.

Facetious bullshit. He's won two RWCs in a row, and his team is still one of the greatest ever.

So great he's lost to Wales twice as "coach" and has a winning percentage probably less than 70%

If that was accurately enforced, South Africa would be lucky to finish a game with players on the field.

The yellow card system needs a complete overhaul. Too many innocuous incidents having vast impact, often letting a palpably weaker team over the 80 take the W.
