    6/2 split

Lam, Tele'a & Ahio return from injury

I like that loose forward trio

Tayne Harvey is an interesting debutant. First year out of Palmy Boys. Spent most of the year at the Dunedin Sharks on the bench. Then finished up in the back three alongside another Dunedin based Southlander Josh Augistine (who has broken his leg) and Kyan Rangitutia. Still quite a slight lad. Should be a good shout for NZ U20s next year

Tele’a shouldn’t be used on the wing. Would’ve made more sense to use him in the midfield and leave Lam on the wing

    Beehre having a strong game

Auckland still spluttering along. Plenty of guys playing well but it’s all disconnected. It feels like preseason performances week after week

@Kirwan Simpson is very good considering his age. Wish we’d trusted him earlier in the season

Segnar is the glue in this side.

By the way Northland fans, Beehre just dropped going into a tackle and was tackled around the head. That’s a penalty right?

Or perhaps it happens 100 times game.

We are doing well to be so far ahead with this ref only looking one way. Southland players are not rolling away.

Good try Southland. Off the back of a classy 50/22

Second time I’ve seen Sullivan bring held to the ground after play has moved on.

Our halfbacks box kicks are dwarf sized.

His pass is inconsistent too. The coaches don’t trust the next halfback so he subs off very late

The Funaki injury has had a big impact
