Apart from Aumua and Barrett on a good day there is little impact on that bench overall.
snap.

@Kiwiwomble you are appropriately named. Blackadder has been in of the best AB’s this season and clearly would have started again.
are their any stats to back up he's one of the best ABs? leading tackle count? dominant tackles? even rucks hit? turnovers?
-
I see Stuff reporting that Beauden and TJP have been "demoted". That line of thinking needs to end in the modern game, they are in the 23 and will be expected to come on and close the game for us, which is one of the most important roles in the team.

@Boston-Boy you’d rather have the player Blackadder repeatedly bullied in super rugby play off games? Akira is only good when he’s the biggest player on the pitch. Complete marshmallow when he’s not. Short term memory buddy
not true

The Blues loosies rip up trees all season and can't even make the plane. Sititi has a few cameos and a huge SF and the coaches have such a horn for him that they'll play him out of position against the world champs with the two game series on the line. Wow

Busy but ineffective seems to be the fern consensus on Blackadder.

He tries hard don't get me wrong, but yeah, gets hammered every time in contact. I want him to do well, but the truth is, he's a bit of a lightweight at this level and loses most contact battles on attack and defense.
Maybe he'd be better suites to a bench role if/when fit?

thats kind of what i was thinking, my lasting impression is hitting the ball up...but not making any ground....or going over the ball...and getting cleared out immediately

I don't get the love for BB at 10.
Jordie to 15, Jordan to 14 and ALB to 12?

Papali'i should definitely be playing but Sititi fully deserves his spot, he was a standout for Chiefs all season.

He played at start of season without fanfare. Had a humdinger about two thirds of way through season, after which supplanted LJ as starting 8.

@Stag yeah, he would have started again if fit, but the coaches are looking pretty silly right now having to play a rookie in an unfamiliar position when Blackadder very predictably got injured again.
They didn't have to play him. That European bloke, Jacobsen, could have started.

You're spelling his surname wrong just to irk me (and all of Sweden), aren't you? Why not just refer to his middle name and call him Little Brittain?

Apart from when it mattered in the final, like this pretty much is!
