Will be interesting to see if post McDonalds departure there are some bold(er) selections going forward.

Barrett to 10, Jordan to 15, Ratima to start etc.

Who could have predicted this turn of events?

Tbh, if they were playing silly buggers they would have made this announcement on Friday.

It seems above board give they selection protocols

    Barrett to 10

Somehow I don't see Leon as the reason Barrett hasn't been at 10.

Leon was a gigantic fan of Barrett at 10 for the Blues. In 2023 he wouldn't even contemplate trying to move Barrett from 10 despite middling returns

@Lancaster-Park Frans has been around the block a few times. @BartMan use to talk about red wine. The Stormers scrum has always been good. Nortje has been part of a Bulls URC dominant scrum behind Wilco Louw. Boks practice live scrums, Ox possibly the best LH fatty to practise against.

@OomPB Nortje played LH for Boks this year.. useful if he can pack both sides.

@pakman you mean lock behind the LH? He is more an aerial type like Matfield. PSdT & BJD will be a great combination in scrum and around the block. High work rate.

Etzebeth cleared for NZ Test as Boks release four players

Springbok lock Eben Etzebeth has been cleared to face New Zealand at Emirates Airline Park on Saturday after completing all the training sessions this week and has been drafted onto the replacements bench for the Castle Lager Rugby Championship encounter, while Rassie Erasmus has released four...

Looks like he is on the bench.

If Havili on bench, who goes to 13 if Rieko injured?

Loose forward like the Boks - so Ardie.

But wouldn't we have ALB on the bench?

@Darren Seems some suggestion that Havili might get the gig. ALB covers all one-injury eventualities. Havili covers 12 and 15, but 13 seems exposed.

Havili and one of ALB/Proctor could both be on the bench if Beauden is at 15 (assuming Rieko is at 13)

We are due a good game of rugby with the South Africans.
2023 Twickenham was dire and so was the WC final.
Two of the most mistake ridden , disjointed games of rugby I've seen involving the ABs.

And the refereeing/tmo involvement was a thundering disgrace.

I will never have that match mentioned without saying it.

Im still fucking seething over it.
