Two things about that breaking aussie...
- She was so CONFIDENT. She came out that corridor looking like she was fucking certain of a Gold medal. WTF? I'm hoping a very high level of self-delusion, because...
- What the hell is she doing/thinking now? Absolute laughing stock... I'm hoping her self-delusion is SO high that she's just brushing it off as "Sheeeit, they don't even know what they're talking about, haters gonna hate, fuck that noise". And maybe make some money off the talk-show circuit, being mocked while smirking back.
Cause otherwise... that has got to be soul-crushing. She'd have to move to somewhere like Madagascar - where presumably they don't bother watching the games (0 medals ever?), and hopefully also ignore any news/memes about them.
She needs to be studied by Science. best Dunning-Kruger I've ever seen - but in both athletics and academics!
-
She was channeling her best Celeste Barber

@Kruse I think someone posted this the other day. You won't be worried in the slightest after reading.
‘Raygun was backed by Australia’s Chef de Mission, Anna Meares, who said criticism of the breakdancer was misogynistic.’
Oh just fuck off
If ever there was a case of ‘those who can do, those who can’t teach’ this is it in spades.
And I can’t believe this is the best female breaker in Australia / Australian qualified
That selection process stinks more than Raygun’s routine
-
@MiketheSnow classic, I didn't see the misogynistic bit. Yeah that's it, she's being judged as a woman... competing against other women.
-
I’ll go one further
If Raygun’s motive had been to demonstrate the gulf between a recreational breaker and an Olympic level breaker to show the hard work and skills needed to compete at this level thereby legitimising the event and its classification as an Olympics worthy ‘sport’ I would have given her a pass.
But in interviews it’s obvious that she felt she deserved to be there, her academic snobbery blinding her to the reality of the situation.
She and the Australian officials who sent her to the Games have done a massive disservice to breaking and the Olympic dream of an Australian woman who would have been far more deserving of a place on the team
I cannot accept that Raygun is Australia’s best breaker

So women celebrating the athletic achievements of other Olympians but deriding the obvious farce that was Rachael Gunn's participation are women haters?
Slightly ironic that Anna Meares is supposed to be good at public speaking, but uses words she doesn't understand.

if that Australian actually enters a karate competition they'll roo the day.

-
@MiketheSnow god she's getting it rough, but the fact a piss take can actually offer up pretty similar "moves" probably gives an idea of how much of a hustle she put on.

This comment is considerably better than any of the shitty memes I’ve seen on this topic.

Not convinced myself
Bit of a sorry not sorry IMHO
-
@MiketheSnow no self awareness, she's getting dragged because she's making pathetic attempts at defending herself and blaming others. If that dance is a result of working her arse off, she started with negative arse.

Ah - yeah, I saw something like that last night. Put a whole new perspective on it.
Not a deluded nutter. Just a sociopathic narcissist, who with her husband, came up with a way to game the system, and become an Olympian with zero skill/talent/work. Allegedly. I'm actually kinda impressed. While also feeling slightly sorry for whatever "real b-girl" missed out. (Only slightly... because whoever that person is, they refer to themselves as a "b-girl".)
