Manawatu v Tasman

Iose opening up Ta$man with ease. These are the sort of players we need in the ABs instead of all these 6.5s that have nothing on attack.

Not really. He made the break and then gave a poor pass
Cameron has been so-so so far

35-0 to Ta$man after 27 mins.

Nice.
In addition to his early two tries, I thought Max Hicks had a really good game - prominent in the lineout and around the park. Liked Sione Havili Talitui as well.
Dave Havili looked a bit like a pig in shit with his wide passing and kicking in the first half (it's only Manawatu to save you typing ) . Similarly Tavatavanawai. He doesn't have a lot of pace these days, but he's like a brick shithouse. Big Levi came on and displayed the same quality.
Not particularly impressed with the scrum. Lineout went OK and disrupted theirs
Manawatu were pretty poor in the first half and gifted us plenty, but a lot better after halftime when they held onto the ball a lot better.
Lots to work on for the Mako, but not bad for a first hit out.
Not sure we're a Championship team, but top of the table after Week 1!

Levi looks like he has put on weight again.
-
@Crazy-Horse I thought Dave Havili looked like he's added even more as well.

Agree. He seems to be bulking up.
-
@Crazy-Horse He bulked up significantly in the offseason after he made the shift from Crusaders fullback to AB second five - but he looks like he's added a bit more.
