Or we can double the amount of tests we play against Australia every year
6 tests a year vs Cheika and Moore should see Read fly past McCaws record in no time.

Rested! Along with all of the other cantabs bar a couple.

One of the purported reasons behind the selection was that England at the time had a pretty advanced tracking system setup at Twickenham that they used to micro analyse their opponents. And by selecting a B team Mitchell would prevent England from this analysis. Didn't work of course.

Oh I mean ultimately it didn't make a difference because they would still beat us the next year and then go on to win the world cup as well.

As if to prove the onset of dementia I remember that test in 2002 better than the one last Saturday......

Pretty sure Blair made a break but Cohen bundled him into touch ?

Also Marty Holah nailed Matt Dawson in a fantastic spear tackle that lead to a turnover in which Howlett got round Robinson to score. Probably the best thing those two ever did in Black.

Blair ignored his support and went for the corner going for the winning try, only to be run down and bundled into touch by Cohen. I was so annoyed I threw my shoe at the T.V.

Since nh sanctimonious bleating is a hot topic at the moment I saw some of Greenwoods book serialised in the papers and the sad bugger was bleating about how those nasty all blacks sledged him when he went off injured . It didn't look like Ben Cohen had much nice to say to Blair when he bundled him into touch , that's different apparently.

sorry, you are correct...I remember thinking at the time, Cully woulda scored that 😉

I think Blair woulda scored if he had angled in to give himself more between him and the line, Cohen was a big lad, but that try was there to be scored.

Pretty sure it mighta been that moment I spilled a beer on the English guy in front of me at Twickers too...

Yep. I was at that game. Cohen pushed Blair into touch at the end. Mehrts looked mightily pissed off.

Jonah was frickin awesome in that test. Last time I saw him play. SCW released these videos afterwards to "prove" Jonah's tries were the result of cheating.

I was quite surprised too , then again I thought he was a good sort and Ben Cohen was a tool and it looks like it's actually the other way around.

My old man was on holiday in London in 2005 and being an old bugger he was able to send my mother into the supermarket while he waited outside.for her to do the shopping. I would not try that myself .
Anyway while he was waiting outside Dallaglio came out of the supermarket so he went over to say gday and they ended up chatting for about half an hour . It was the highlight of his holiday I think, very cool of him to take the time to talk to a random kiwi rugby fan .

Obviously not as big a deal as breakfast with Jerome Kaino, Damien Mackenzie, Liam Squire and Joe Moody though.

If my old man was a ferner he'd mention that he plays tennis with two former all blacks every week ( one extremely famous, the other less so ) and beats them approximately 50% of the time. ( natural athleticism runs in our family )

Strange that Gavin Henson (who was coloured like an oompa loompa) is mentioned the same week that Gene Wilder died - a little creepy to be honest.
