Good tactical decision to not field 8's this Olympics. This enables us to spread our best rowers around more crews.
However the 8's are a lot of fun and I think are the cream of the regatta. Perhaps it is a little disappointing we didn't defend our Gold and Silver from Tokyo?

The Romanian women all backed up, perhaps we could have done something similar? At the end of the day I expect Rowing NZ made the best decision for the team. There is something particularly exciting about the 8s though

Zeidler looks like a WW2 poster for the Herrenvolk.

Where did the independent rower come from? Ridiculous final 300m
Left his run a bit late by the looks of it.
I'd love to see a bird's eye view to see how he did it. Was near the back at the half way and 1500m marks

Once again the BBC coverage is garbage
2 channels on iplayer
Swimming heats and 248km to go in the cycling

He was the rower who caused the delay in the start time.
Infusing a bag of blood takes time

Josh Armit finishes 4th overall in the Men's Windsurfing. Windsurfing is a bit stupid in my view. Instead of having one medal race to decide the medalists like all other fleets, they have a quarter, a semi and then a final based on seedings from the round-robin. Josh went straight through to the semi final because he placed third in the round-robin but a third placing in the semi means he misses out on the top three final.
Super guttering for him. Kind of makes the round-robin somewhat meaningless which is just bizzare if you're familiar with sailing comp structures.

Again not defending her and hate this absurd pantamime surrounding her, but whatever she was taking (whether deliberate or not) was not in the same league as this fella.
Pan wasn't amongst the 23 Chinese swimmers who tested positive, and the article I read says he was tested 21 times in July.
Well that settles it then. Nobody has ever evaded doping tests.
