this... this does not fill me with confidence.

Every few years some coach comes in that thinks he is going to revolutionise the game, and every time it fails and it turns out that the fundamentals still matter most. Specialists. Set piece. Get over the gain line on first phase.

The most important words out of Razor in the breakdown interview was that he doesn’t only want specialists - the ability to play two positions is important to him.

That’s a fascinating approach to international rugby but explains a lot about the selections we’ve seen.

Ratima-Roigard nine and ten will be interesting.

    Bring back John Preston

Come on it’s not like we are going to see Hayman De Groot at number 8 any time soon. Tosi on the other hand….

Fletcher Newell at fullback will be interesting.

I think his ball skills will flourish more at 10

We seem to have a lot of fullbacks now if they are thinking of Jordan at 15 as well. Hopefully they are looking at Jordan on the wing.

It's no good being able to play multiple positions if you are not good enough in any of them. Havili shouldn't be near this squad, Crusader bias strikes again.

All part of the master plan of rolling Havili out for the two Springbok tests.

Well he did score the match-winning try over there did he not? In that surprise win in SA when Fozzies career was on the line.

We all have him to thank for keeping Fozzie in the seat for the WC.

It's OK, our players are great on both sides of the ball.

There’s always one, but on the Fern there are about 10

Next you’ll be telling me that when Preston played a match in NZ he wasn’t a hometown boy.

We really need Finau to move beyond a few 'smashed me bro' moments at Super level.

I like to imagine the scenes as Finau horizontally hits Pollard’s midriff 0.2 seconds late.

    Haha

    I remember that

I also remember his bok team mates laughing at him afterward, asking him if he was still alive!

Ardie is captain for this week, Harry Plummer has come into camp as injury cover for Perofeta.
