We're doing well this Olympics so far.
Reasonable prospects to add another couple in the single scullers.
Where are our other medals going to come from?
I'd say Hamish Kerr in the high jump is a medal prospect. Maybe Tom Walsh in the shotput? Sailing possibly.

Sailing? Cycling? All the sitting down sports. Maybe the high jumper? Tom Walsh in shot put? A track and field medal would be great

@Damo Lisa Carrington a sitter for a couple along with a possible one from Tom Walsh plus the high jumper looking good. Also fingers crossed for Lydia Ko to complete her full set of medals.
Lydia might need Nelly Korda and a few of the other ladies to have some shockers as she hasn't been playing overly well of late.

Great mornings work. Thought we might pip the USA but I think we used up the energy from 1000 to 1500 m. We are bloody good at rowing for a small country.
Yes. NZ has a great record for a country of such a relatively small population.

Our medal tally has exploded in just a couple of hours. We will need to make hay before the track and field

We almost never win medals in the pool. Too many nations far more dominant than us
We haven't won any medals at the Olympics in the pool since way back in Atlanta in 1996 when Danyon Loader won 2 Golds. I think once swimming really turned fully professional and nations like USA, China, Australia and other larger nations starting pouring millions of dollars into their swimming programs it left us in the dust.

Puts his achievement in perspective. He and Duncan Laing, who were sort of like outsiders in the national setup IIRC. Laing was not granted official coach status in Atlanta if memory serves, such disrespect

Walsh is unlikely on recent form
Tanner in the athletics could be a smokey though
Ryan Crouser will be untouchable but Tom only needs to hit one really good to be in with a chance of a medal, most likely a bronze at best. Is Jacko Gill in the field?

Thanks @Higgins.
Went and tracked it down on Stan. Great race.
Great race I the Men's 4 too, shame about result.

True, but any team that can up their stroke rate like that at the end deserves a gold. Astonishing effort.
