When the fuck is Jordan and Roigard coming back?

    Anyone know? Thx

Wouldn't bank on seeing Roigard again this year. Supposedly a six month injury from April, and at that point you have no idea how he recovers, so probably better to just let him get it properly right, easing him back in with Super Rugby.

Jordan meant to be Rugby Championship.

    thx. Love them 2

@mariner4life Finau is from the old school where forwards would put the fear of life into backs. I love it, but in the modern game, it's a risk. And yes SB is a risk in that regard as well. We have to play smarter rugby and avoid having players sent off, it has cost us dearly in recent times. We would have won the RWC final easily if we'd managed to keep Cane and Frizzell on the park the full 80.

What's the powerball up to in NZ this week? Don't waste your money if Perofeta has a ticket.

I liked the team better when I read it from numbers 1 to 15 than my initial reading of 15 to 1.

I was very surprised Beaden wasn't starting at 15.

Beaudy to 10 and DMac to 15 if things are going poorly?

im more accepting of the risk with finau as he's actually trying to make a game changing move catching a 10 so far behind the line....scotter has dropped his shoulder into a guy lying on the ruck for absolutely no gain

Razor's Crusaders generally liked to push the limits with the refs.

Will be interesting to see how the ABs do under him re: discipline in a test arena with different refs

Remember the days when our bench was selected for impact and we owned the last 30 minutes?

That bench just screams injury cover

in the modern game, with World Rugby's misguided quest to prove rugby is safe and for everyone (it's not, and it never has been, and that's its fucking attraction) literally every rugby action is now a card risk when you have four guys pouring over super slow mo looking for transgressions.

I prefer my risk around making a back have a look over, say, just winning one single ruck.

That jersey is a psychological masterstroke

Sports jersey colour is a thing for sure. Lots of research been done on it.

Google throws this up which amuses me:
Yellow: A cheerful, vibrant color, yellow is associated with enthusiasm and excitement. Australian cricket teams frequently wear yellow uniforms"

    Yellow - not gold.
There is no comment on Black and I seriously doubt that the English pysche will be affected by a white collar.

That little distraction aside it will be interesting to see how we front up for this. Our first test of the year is usually shit so seeing how well a Razor coached team shows up will be intriguing. We know how a Stead coached team managed without match prep recently...

Agree with this, but even you beloved NRL is going the same way. Contact sports are fucked if the NRL is cracking down. What's happening in Origin, if they're cracking down there we may as well all start supporting touch teams.

TBF, the NRL has a way to go, because some shit that gets let go....

But in complete agreeance that i believe contact sports are in serious danger. Once the door opened to the argument "look, i voluntarily played a game where the risk of getting smashed in the head was really high, but it is your fault i got smashed in the head" and the attitudes of soccer mums became more important than fans, we were doomed.

So lets enjoy it while we can. Lets pick guys who want to eat the opposition. Lets go to Ireland and lay their fucking 10 out so i can masturbate to the howls from the crowd. Lets bring about the end quickly with a team of unprecedented brutality.

    That is a definite concern.

Within reason, this team looks like they've favoured people who have played recently.

    Perofeta > Beauden
    Jacobson > Blackadder
    Ofa > Williams

Only four Crusaders in the 23, which must be the least for a Tier 1 test match in a while. Noted for those who were squealing about bias! 🙂

@Chris-B the Crusaders couldn't make the top 8 in a 12 team competition, even the Highlanders managed that! 4 is too many.

@No-Quarter Razor is a very smart man.

When this team stacked with North Islanders falls over the first hurdle, he'll sack Wayne Smith from his selection oversight role and install @ACT-Crusader ! 🙂

My first thoughts , not a lot different to what fozzie would’ve picked.

I suppose when razor sprinkles his magic dust over them it will look much different.

Definitely need to see what pattern they play. I'm hoping for a little more simplicity, less high risk and more direct

bro, the late Fozzie gameplan was incredibly simple and incredibly risk free
    Bend don't break defense
Long periods with ball in play early in the game to tire defenses.
Pragmatic attack to ensure we kept the ball
Low turnover attempts to ensure defensive numbers.

It's been a fair while since we were overdoing the kick pass to spread the defense out.

    More like Joe Schmidt's gameplan.

it's a very "balanced" team, so no obvious pointers to a way they will look to play.

And in reality, there aren't THAT many ways to play test rugby anyway.
