So, what HAS Michael Cheika actually done as a coach?
-
Yes I couldn't watch the whole game today but not sure Moore is really top hooker or suitable captain material at the moment.
-

I don't give a rats how Cheika rtes in the looks dept, my comment with in regard to how he presents himself like Larry the Lounge Lizard. He cultivates an unshaven sloppy look and allows himself to be filmed swearing at referees decisions or rolling his eyes.

None of that will endear him to anyone and asking for respect when all outward signs are that you don't show any respect yourself is pissing in the wind.

It may work in the rag trade but I'd have thought he could tidy his act up for the international stage.

If people you work with look like that they only get away with it if brilliant or paying your wages. If not, they are thought of as slobs.
-

I am. I'm not saying it is right but presenting an unprofessional image then moaning about not being treated professionally just seems stupid. FFS the guy is in a well paid important job and appears as a 'face' of the game. I wouldn't turn up at work looking like he does to a press conference and I'm certainly no suit and tie guy.
Image creates impressions on people whether right or wrong.

I totally agree with this -

Was that after the penalty where Allalatoa was flat on his face and Crockett was still on his feet?

Someone mentioned his myopia. They weren't wrong. It's not a sign of intelligence. -
Was Cheika drunk during tonight's game? His behaviour was a disgrace and his side are the worst and least likeable Aussie team I can remember. It's for his employer to step in and tell Cheika to pull himself together or give up being an international Rugby coach.

Im beginning to think he is on a similar level to Deans and McKenzie , who were also reasonably good coaches , and it really doesnt matter who coaches them ,

The Allblacks are better because they are better .
-
He's certainly not Mr Charisma. Every interview he comes across as a sullen fluffybunny, offended that people have the temerity to ask him questions.

Apparently the ref has a lot to answer for according Krusty, http://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/rugby/international/83634382/michael-cheika-takes-aim-at-officials-after-second-straight-all-blacks-defeat

The press conference with him and Moore is on Fox Sports Rugby website I think

In which he and Moore both state their execution wasn't good enough. But that got missed here apparently because people prefer to read the story they want ;)

Did Poite give out a warning to the ABs for a yellow card at any point? I know we got one after Alalaatoa collapsed (though it was an early push but the ABs). -

Agustins call was as bad as SBWs attempt at spelling Krustys name.
-

Ah... No. SBW's tweet was that of a spoiled child.

Pichot and the rest of the committee saw a team that won The Rugby Championship, and after being no certainty to get out it's pool, make a RWC final, through a mixture of attack (e.g. England), defence (e.g. Wales), and resolve. Despite being ranked as low as 6th, they got back to 2nd.

Regardless of what happened this year to date, and despite the wondrous bullshit that is Crucial's Fashionista Showdown, that still stands as a decent achievement. -
It was a churlish tweet by SBW.

Here's the facebook feed of the Wallaby post match conference; https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10153903916581915&id=56918111914 -

A couple of decent points worth thinking about there, still don't think he was worthy of the award though.

I reckon the NZRU might make him apologise for that tweet though. -

If Cheika is going to swear, he needs to learn to 'cough' or rub his nose or something. Standing up in the glass front coaches box and swearing repeatedly on camera is just not professional. And 'passion' is not an excuse. You can be passionate and still be professional - Cheika has been in the past.
