@Bones
He seems to suggest Razor's teams play in quite a different way from Fozzie's. (or even Hansen and Henry)More adaptability and variation acorss roles during the game.
Razor's backline operates very differently, that's for sure. It's one of the reasons why Mo'unga looks a world-beater for the Crusaders and just average for the All Blacks. He gets to pick his moments more for the Crusaders.

I think the step-up between SR and Test level might have something to do with it myself.

On Sotutu, I am kinda sick of people saying "both sides of the ball" to criticise him. If they really mean both sides, then how about criticising, i dunno, everyone fucking else for not being able to do what he does on the attacking side of the ball?
That's probably never going to happen, because instantly everyone would be up in arms about the coaches bagging a player in the media. And I don't particularly want our coaches telling other teams about our players' perceived weaknesses.
It's a bit like people wanting more information about the gameplan.

@Machpants really bugs me because the "logic" is so strained

I clearly donāt read NZ media enough (at all) anymore as I opened that expecting some analysis of the 3 candidates respective pluses and minuses, what they might bring to this particular game given the strengths and weaknesses of the opposition, the possible side we will name, the likely game plan, maybe what each has worked on this year āon both sides of the ballā.
Jokes on me

AB team is announced in house today,
So the players/team have the time to prepare.
Released to the media on Thursday though. -

@Chris i understand in house things will be named....this just seems early to offically name it
Yeah I am not sure why England released it early it does seem a bit early to put it out there.

Because it will leak anyway, so might as well name it right after itās been decided.

Yeah fair enough no surprises anyway.
-
good on England. if rugby was serious about marketing itself all test sides would get named on Tuesday. Days of analysis and head-to-head match ups to discuss.
But noooo, lets wait until late in the week.
It's piss weak

am i wrong though that we dont normally get a team named on a tuesday?
not saying it bad, just unexpected and i feel unusual not to have noth team naming at a similar time
-
Pretty sure South Africa started naming a lot earlier.
-
England and Aussies always name earlier than the ABs when we play. And possibly the Boks too.
