Euro 2024

One thing I've noticed is that the extended overtime of the EPL means wasting time is back on the menu - I've seen games with extended stoppages and it is still only +4 or +5 at the end. I'm sure it will get worse in the knockouts.
Also a lot of teams in the Euros seem to be "dull and a bit shit" but make it difficult for the other team to break them down. Rare exceptions like Austria are keeping the tournament alive.
Always better when both teams want to play. But the stakes are high so lots of bus parking going on
-
So the two pre-tournament favourites both finish with the same results, albeit France although unconvincing faced much better opposition.
Spain and Portugal look the best so far.
That aged well…in fairness Portugal already qualified so not a lot to play for in their last match.
Spain look the best imo but they could do with converting more chances.

It’s a shame both Spain and Germany can’t make the final.
Spain and Germany by far the most impressive teams in the Group Stage, probably followed by Portugal.
-
@Billy-Tell Switzerland might be dark horses to win the competition and at 40/1 with UK bookies are perhaps worth a punt.

Even Spain need to be wary next round, the way Georgia dispatched Portugal was impressive

And that wasn’t a Portugal coasting because they’d already qualified

England are just employing the age old All Black tactic of keeping their powder dry until the finals

At this rate they'll be spooffing talcum powder

Great last line

Switzerland 🇨🇭 2 vs Italy 🇮🇹 0
Italy were utterly dreadful. But we were pretty damn good.

A good old fashioned drubbing

England down 1-0 at halftime
Overpaid, underworked
