@mariner4life difference between a player launching at a guys head (Joseph) and a player positioning himself at a low position and then collecting a guy that is dipping (Tuputupu).

Whether I agree with the Tuputupu tackle or not atleast Union don't have the stigma of letting shit slide on a regular basis. Atleast they got it right last night but consistency would be great.

both the same circumstances, upward trajectory at guys slipping, but at different speeds. Rugby got theirs wrong, not league. You are just inconsistent depending on what jersey they wear, kinda like Madge above.

What gets let slide by the way? Those tackles happen so very rarely that it is a surprise. On the flip side, guys get taken out of games every weekend for failing HIAs. Because, you know, that's how you protect your athletes.

Just admit your comment is at least a decade out of date and we can all move on

How can you say they are both the same circumstances? Joseph is flying through the air, Tuputupu had his legs planted on the ground.

League let shit slide all the time, guys walking around groggy without any attention happens on a regular. Rugby act on shit straight away to the point it's sometimes overbearing as a user, but I get it, the players safety comes first. There is a clear difference between both sports in that facet of the game.

The total irony of your comment is that I think League are the ones living ten years in the past when it comes to acting on head knocks.

Agree to disagree and we can all move on.

Late to the party, but flying in the air? Come on, his foot was planted. Evidence below, and I didn’t even need to use bright arrows and creepy voiceover….

@mariner4life the other thing from this game, the size of Burton’s bombs, even rugby heads would be proud of his towering rain makers.

    Lastly

Trell should be back in origin partnering Chricton in the centres.

Will Warriors lose their way with SJ back? Seriously TMM needs to play his natural game. Was he previously? Was he allowed too? Don’t know but we need him to stay confident.

Keep Ford in the middle rotation. Good motor didn’t seem to make as many errors

Warriors also one of teams shortlisted to Vegas

Tigers can have spoon now, disgraceful

How is the Cheese getting a breach notice at the Roosters? But deserved, he's carrying on like a flog, and is playing pretty ordinary footy. Roosters clearly trying to push him out.

If the rumours are true, then he will be gone fast, lost a lot of friends as well and needs help. A good pick up for someone but will need a lot of off field support

Lots of rumours he was hard work at the storm as well ,

He has an old man that continually interferes allegedly, was continually contacting the club saying if he isn’t playing 9 full time , we are leaving.

Bellamy liked him as more of a utility backrow / hooker . Probably a big mistake he left now with hindsight.

Suspect Bellamy had his role worked out well too, 20 mins as hooker and then plays as a small middle

would give serious thought to them swapping roles, TMM running the team, and SJ playing the secondary run role. Does SJ have the humility to do that? We've looked a million times better without SJ having absolutely everything go through him

Shaun was playing hurt, which didn't help. With Martin stepping up, hopefully he doesn't feel he has to try and do everything, just let's the game come to him

Yes he was, but to Mariners point, did he have the humility to allow TMM to take more of the lead, even before? Its all conjecture, but we know it was SJ's team. Personally I think they could work and not following this left and right side format either of which was seemingly enforced previously, but letting them both play as it happens, but I suspect that will take time.

the best attacks right now have the halves and the fullback all combining. Left side-right side is so a couple of years ago.
Under SJ, TMM was invisible, and the Warriors attack forgot the left existed. The absolute worst thing that could happen would be for us to revert.

Webster is saying that the attack will change (in theory).

Considering we seem to be winning the ones we’re expected to lose I’m quite confident this week.

    Fuck I’ve jinxed us now haven’t I.

Hammer with one of the tries of the season to get the Dolphins home in a close one after almost blowing a 22-0 lead.

They go alright this Dolphins side with a good mixture of youth and experience and have some real future and current stars in their side.

A shame about Flegler's injury which would make them even stronger if he were out there.

Hammer is my favourite player in the comp. Running around with a grin on his face breaking the sound barrier.

And yes, that was a very entertaining game. Best comment i saw was "both teams are playing well, just not at the same time".
Cronulla have some beef off the bench, when they brought Hunt and Talakai on, and had them running at halves on either side of the field, Cronulla looked unstoppable. And their fullback is a gun. There is something missing though considering how good they can look, and then how inept they can as well (like Manly i guess).

The Dolphins aren't bad though are they? Their backline is pretty sexy, and those veteran forwards are tough as. Maybe a gun dummy half and attacking back rower away from contending.

I think they quite like Marshall King who is very good at getting his side around the park and have also locked him up long term, and I think in terms of attacking back rower, I think they've pinned their hope on Connely Lemuelu, who had an indifferent night, but does hit the line hard. If he doesn't turn or to be the player they plan on him becoming, then I think they hit the market in that area.

Their young core though of Katoa, Plath and Bostock, all babies, are gonna all become origin players I feel.

I also like JMK and would rate him amongst the top dummy halves in the comp now, he has improved his game out of sight. Lemuelu is made of glass, if that guy could stay on the paddock for any length of time, he would probably be talked about as a weapon. By the time he gets match fit after a previous injury, he gets injured again.

Will be interesting how the new coach goes after Wayne leaves, there is no doubt Wayne has got the best out of some of that roster, I would be interested to see if Woolf can replicate this

Think they are short a gun edge forward though and probably a half. Kodi blows hot and cold, currently on a hot run, but we know that can change. Remains a great impact player. Kotoa is a long term keeper
